La Villa

Wonderful. Loved the three night stay. Staff very attentive. Food was amazing. Tried everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. Exceptional in every way. Enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu on the last night. The staff to guest ratio is at least 1/1 which means outstanding service. Would definitely stay again

Wonderful stay at LA VILLA. The rooms, staff, pool couldn’t have better. The food was the best we had in Pondicherry. It’s a small boutique hotel with only six suites but this makes it special because you’re not tripping over other guests. We had the pool to ourselves most days. Would definitely recommend.

A little gem in a lovely area - the upstairs space and rooms are way superior than the lower spaces - BUT of particular delight was the wonderful attention of Pavitra and Lupin. Both are a credit to the team and cared and wanted us to be happy. The small groups associated 2x restaurants both well worth a visit ie The Spot and Cilla Shanti for great Fish Curry and ambience Our small sadness at initially being allocated a lower room soon forgotten as we relaxed Poolside Breakfast is fresh and nice and service attentive

Beautiful stay, cordial staff. Located in the heart of White Town, so the best places are near by. The staff is well trained and suggests the best places to visit and would also book you a reservation if asked. The sitting area on the around floor is lush green, great for having meals

Our first trip to Pondicherry and this hotel was a fabulous base to explore the town. The staff were so helpful especially Anil and the lovely Lupin who remembered exactly what we wanted for breakfast over our 4 days. The in room massage was a treat after a long day of walking. Note: if you are staying in Room 6 - top floor you will have to walk up spiral stairs which could be difficult for some Overall a wonderful stay!

The staff were personable, attentive and willing to help. Managers (like Vijayaraj and Viknesh) were generous in sharing their knowledge about Pondicherry with us. We had dinner in-house and the food was delectable. The chef / kitchen obviously took great pride in putting out their offerings. I ordered a couple of items that were not on the menu (including lobster bisque) and it was awesome, filled with flavor. Location of La Villa is good, if you prefer to be in the heart of White Town (although the streets can be busy at times). As for the room (no. 1), the layout is not intuitive (this is an old, converted building with function forced to follow form). The power points could have been better placed. Parts of the doors and windows may not work smoothly but this did not detract from a comfortable stay. The pool is shallow and lacks length. It is more like a plunge pool +. La Villa has paid parking (about 80m away) but no quarters for drivers. The staff recommended a lodge about 2km away for our driver (and the driver complained that he had to put up with drunkards in that lodge).
