리조 부티크 호텔(Rizzo Boutique Hotel)

It is not a 4 star hotel. Invasion of cockroaches. At least 20 rooms had cockroaches, rooms checked. Out of 20 people who ate for lunch (03.01.2024), 4 had fara in their food/plate. The staff shrugged... "we have documents that extermination was done", as if cockroaches know a book. To avoid !!!

We stayed at this hotel late September. We were part of a small tour group visiting Transylvania. We had an evening meal on our first night. We arrived late evening. Because the restaurant was closed for renovations until our last evening, we ate upstairs for our first nights dinner and breakfast for 4 of the 5 days we were there in what was possibly a meeting room. The dinner was typically Eastern European, very stodgy and filling. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were also ok and quiet. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking the mountains/forest. On our first night we both received an “Emergency Bear Sighting in the area Alert” stating not to venture out! Frightened the life out of us. Out of skiing season this area is very remote with very little open. We did venture out on our 2nd night down to a snack cart about 200m down the road. We were very nervous about it as it get’s dark early in late September with no road lighting either. Staff at the hotel spoke reasonable English and were very friendly. Frightened the life out of us

We stayed here for just three nights as part of a tour. It is quite nice and the staff try to be friendly but there is somewhat of a language barrier which is only to be expected. It is in a good location with only a few amenities in walking distance so you will definately need transport to get anywhere at all. There is a lovely restaurant at another hotel a few minutes walk away but we chose to eat at the Rizzo retaurant as they we much better equipped for allergies. The food was very nice indeed although with a limited menu as they seem to have run out of many items eg the dessert choice of assorted ice creams was only chocolate! Breakfast is quite good but is very limited for allergies, my wife is coeliac and there was very little for her at all so luckily she took her own gluten free porridge. The room is quite good and all that we needed for our stay, not particularly luxurious but adequate for our needs. The hotel advertises a rooftop swimming pool, however it is actually on the lower ground floor and has limited opening times, it did however look quite good.

Staff were friendly and helpful at all stages. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We thought the provided quilt was too thin, but instead it was surprisingly warm. What let the room down was the shower room/toilet. They were old, and definitely in need of replacement. The shower seals were shocking in appearance, with some parts looking as if the sealant was simply smeared on. Also, the hot hair dryer was permanently wired in right behind the basin. The worst of that was the wires to it were fully exposed with the 'earth' cut off. That is surely an electrocution waiting to happen! The in house restaurant was a disappoin**ent all round. The buffet food was tasty, but it was luke warm at best, and plates weren't heated. An a la carte menu provided wasn't available on our stay.

A great hotel very convenient located to all shops and dining needs. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside of it was the bathroom: toilet did leak water all night, making a big noise and not being able to fill up the tank. Therefore we had to fill up a plastic bag with water and flush the toilet. The rest was ok

Pleasant....but uninspiring. Poiana is a winter resort so staying there in summer as part of a tour group makes it a cheaper option than staying in Brasov city. Bar closed at 10 pm and staff left the front desk with simply a mobile number. Food was adequate but so uninspiring as to persuade the group to eat elsewhere on the other nights. There are plenty of other bars and eating places , but being summer mostly devoid of guests.

Excellent staff who were helpful and friendly. They dealt with any issues quickly and without fuss. Rooms were clean and spacious, had a pool / bar / restaurant, easy walking distance to other restaurants. Tea/coffee in rooms, great forest views from room window. Had good WiFi. Some aspects did need updating though.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of an organized tour. The hotel looked out to the mountains at the front and to the forest at the rear. The breakfast was continental style, and had a good selection. The room was nice, mine looked out onto the mountains. Usual toiletries, tea making facilities, TV etc, but no milk was supplied, so you had to ask. Seems to be the norm in Romania. Downstairs, there was a spa and swimming pool which was an added bonus. The bar closed really early about 9-30 which seemed very early to me, but apart from that it was a decent little hotel in a great location, only a short walk from the chair lift to the top of the mountain, and a short stroll to a few restaurants and bars in the town.

A very nice hotel. Arrived at the hotel and was checked in by the wonderful Andrea. I checked into an apar**ent which was very spacious and nice. My children got ready and went straight to the pool. They loved it and had fun. The pool was nice and warm. The breakfast was very good too. All the staff were very helpful. A small issue which was dealt immediately. Thank you for making it a very nice stay. Overall me and my children had a wonderful stay.
