메도라 아우리 패밀리 비치 호텔(Medora Auri Family Beach Resort)

We booked a 10 day break through TUI for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. A few months prior to our arrival I emailed the hotel and asked if there could be a possibility of an upgrade to a room with a good view - the answer was no but we could pick a bottle of wine - which we didn’t bother with. On arrival we were allocated a ground floor room in an annexe building which had a restricted view of the sea. The room was in need of refurbishment as there were damp stains on a corner of the bedroom wall from the shower behind it. A lady who was a solo traveller showed me her room on the 10th floor of the main building - it was outstanding with a huge corner balcony and beautiful large interior - much bigger than our accommodation for 2 people (she had not upgraded her booking). I was really disappointed at the difference between the two rooms. Now for the positives - the hotel itself is beautiful and has a fab pebble beach directly across a promenade. Beds and umbrellas are free of charge. The food is mainly catered to Croatian taste but there is plenty of choice. Wine & beer are included with your meals if booked half board - the red wine is ok but if you are a connoisseur you will not find it full bodied enough. There is a lovely bar on the same floor as reception with beautiful views of the bay but for some reason it closes at 10pm at night ? The place is spotless with cleaning going on all around you - be it restaurant, outside areas or rooms. This is a very busy hotel with lots of families and young children - I would suggest that the restaurant which is on two levels be made into ‘adult only’ on the second floor. We booked 2 trips through the hotel and would especially mention Sanda who went out of her way to sort out a problem for us. She was so helpful and friendly! We will definitely return to Croatia but maybe to a quieter hotel.

Excellent service and beautiful overall experience! The staff is super sweet and friendly, especially Branimir and Mihaela! Definitely coming back for another cup of coffee (bijela kava) at the terrace!

This hotel is amazing.The sea in this part of Croatia is very clean.This hotel has great gym with midern equipment. The food is very tasty. We were amazed by the staff:Maria Staničić, Branimir and Ankica.

The hotel is great and clean. We like the spa area and provided sunbads on beach. We loved included drinks at breakfast and dinner. The staff members that stood out were Ankica and Branimir.They are very friendly and very fast with their service. We would recommend this hotel to people traveling with their family.

Such a lovely jewel on the Adriatic coast. Staying here for a week and can’t praise this hotel more enough. Very clean , modern and comfortable, really makes me feel at home. The staff would run extra mile to accommodate you. Big thank you to the staff who works at the restaurant , particularly Vesela and Anita, who work very hard making individually staffed omelettes for the guests, and pancakes in the morning, don’t miss that . Love the location, quiet and relaxing , surrounded by mountains. It’s my first time in Croatia , this country makes me feel very safe

We had a wonderful vacation! The staff was very attentive and kind and helpful. The food was good for a buffet. The pool and beach were great. the location was perfect for visiting Podgora, Split, and Dubrovnik. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to families.

We loved the whole experience, thank you Marija and Zoe from sales for giving us the best option possible! The view from our room was spectacular and there was plenty of activities for kids so we would definitely come back!

We had a lovely 7 night stay here end of July/August. It’s about a 1.5 hour transfer from Split airport. Truly beautiful hotel that goes the extra mile for you. The decor is very modern and all areas are spotlessly clean. The hotel has some lovely little touches that are lovely - such as free bottled water when the temperatures are warm. Rooms- we didn’t have a pool/ sea view room. We had a room with a double bed and a pull out bed (family of 3 - 2 adults and a 5year old). The beds were comfortable! And the room a good size for the three of us with a balcony to sit out on. The room had a small Fridge which we could keep drinks etc In. The room was cleaned daily - only con was we didn’t need the room cleaning daily, there was a sign that said do not disturb and on the other side said clean the room. One of the days my partner hadn’t slept well and wasn’t feeling great and went back to the room to try and sleep so put the do not disturb sign on the door - the cleaners still knocked and asked if he wanted the room cleaning - so just to be mindful of you have little ones napping etc. Room had a shower and air con - no bath. Swimming pools- two swimming pools which are clean - people do dash down early morning to put towels on. Towels are provided by the hotel. We found we could get a bed Always at kids pool which was the one our son wanted to be in. He really enjoyed it, it has a few varying splash park features that rotate. It’s shallow he can always stand. We were able to go up to the bigger pool also but that pool doesn’t have a shallow end and is all deep. The only downside is the kids pool is down a flight of stairs - no lift access to it. The upper pool can be accessed via a lift and stairs. It’s such a shame as I saw people having to carry pushchairs down the stairs for their babies to nap in. Also the stairs are wet as people walk between the two pools so are an accident waiting to happen!! I’m not sure if there’s a way to access it from inside to make it accessibility friendly. Location: right on the beach front. Has its own beach so lovely- I’ve read on here people not been able to get Sun loungers but whenever we went we could get one. They come round frequently and ask to check your keycard to make sure your from the hotel and there’s a nice bar there. Beach is a pebble Beach and is painful without the right shoes for getting in the water so get some beach/ water shoes before you go! It’s in the sea front with a short promenade with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. (Some do kids meals but A lot don’t). There’s also a local pharmacy on the ***** and some shops to get snacks and drinks. Also some lovely little stalls open on a night. Excursions - we went with a well known Uk travel provider but didn’t book any trips with them and I’m so glad we didn’t! Inside the hotel there is an excursion shop, the staff there are lovely and we went on three trips with them - an all day boat trip with lunch on board visiting two

We absolutely loved our stay at Medora Auri hotel. We couldn't fault anything. The staff is very friendly yet professional. The hotel spotless clean. Food always varies and is very tasty. The sea view from anywhere in the hotel is just wonderful 😍 We will be back hopefully sooner than later
