We have just returned from Timanfaya Palace Hotel brilliant Holiday staff were wonderful especially the Restaurant staff the food although good isn't very hot plenty of choice yes we would stay there again great location straight onto the promonard.This Hotel is situated in the ideal position plenty of walks

The check in was smooth and efficient for my wife and I. Our room was laid out well and everything was working as they should. There is a coffee machine in the room but not for us so phone reception and asked for a kettle 10 minutes later kettle arrived. Our room had a sea view and was cleaned to a high standard every day. Plenty choices for food and very tasty and never any problems getting a table. All the staff we had dealing with were allways polite and helpful. Easy access to the promenade turn left to the marina and right to the lighthouse. We have had many good holidays abroad but only two exceptional ones and Timanfaya Palace is one of them.

Our 2nd visit to this fabulous hotel. We booked the hotel direct and also contacted in advance. The response was a warm welcome before we’d arrived. As H10 members we had a room in the area requested, additional meal at the Kasbah, welcome wine, mini bar, bathrobes, slippers and daily turn down service with chocolates. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and a speedy check in, where we were given the new wristbands which gave entry to our room and the colour showed room board for drinks and food (we booked all inclusive). The food was good both within the buffet restaurant and at the Kasbah a la carte. Plenty of choice at the buffet with fresh fish and meat made to order, along with omelettes at breakfast. The location is perfect to enjoy the Playa Blanca coastline. A short walk to Flamingo beach with a small selection of shops and approx an hour stroll to the marina. We hired a car on this visit and drove to the north of the island for a day trip out. €70 for an SUV using Cabrera Medina in the port. The service from the hotel staff is exceptional, all friendly but a special mention to Pepe in the main restaurant and Angel in the pool bar. There is work being done by the pool which we can imagine is disruptive if your room is in that location, but it didn’t impact on our holiday, and for a hotel open all year round ongoing maintenance is needed. The weather was mixed and quite breezy but our stay in such lovely surroundings made it a memorable holiday. We will return.

First time at this hotel for a short break. Initial impressions were good as we walked in to the hotel lobby, nice area which smelled lovely! Friendly staff and greeted with a glass of bubbly. Unfortunately couldn’t get in the room until 15:00hrs so we tried the buffet lunch. Usual buffet style food, nothing outstanding. One very friendly waiter stood out for us and looked out for us every time he saw us. The room key is on a wristband you have to wear 24/7. We found it extremely temperamental; it took ages rubbing it against the door to try and get it open. The walk to the room showed us a very tired and stained carpet. On entry to the room, the bathroom and the entire space were lovely and large. The balcony was overlooking the sea and pool area. Unfortunately the closer we looked at the room the more we found it was very tired. It really needs some updating. The furniture shows a lot of wear and tear, the TV is very old, the kettle doesn’t have anywhere to plug in unless you put it on the floor and the air con/heating system is out of date. The balcony furniture is that horrible brittle white plastic. Even more annoying is that the balcony sides are so high when you sit down you can’t see over! So all you can see is the sky. On arrival there was a lot of bird droppings on the floor so I had to visit reception to get them to clean that up. One of my biggest bug bears with hotels is when they don’t have any night lighting in the bathroom. The bathroom lighting is horrendously bright when you get up in the night. The bed is a VERY hard pocket spring mattress, very wide but not very long. There is a fridge in the room but there was nothing inside it. We did have a welcome bottle of cava which was nice. There is a safe but reception didn’t have the reset key so we couldn’t use it. They also charge for its use!? The hotel is large and over 5 floors, lots of stairs and lifts. The water feature running through the hotel is a nice touch but was annoyingly dirty and grim. The pool area is nice and they have thankfully updated the tiles; they are in the process of updating the tiles everywhere outside so there was some building working going on whilst we were there. We always found a bed and reserving beds isn’t allowed prior to 09:30hrs. The beds are very basic and pretty uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is good enough although the coffee is TERRIBLE. The lunch at the outside restaurant is also okay; better than the buffet. However, I’d avoid the chicken burger as it’s some weird chicken patty thing. We tried the al a carte restaurant once and were very disappointed. I’d stick with the buffet. The food was uninspiring, the menu lacked any creativity and each meal came with the same potatoes and veg. Service was good. The usual commercial drinks are available at the hotel but I’d avoid any off the menu cocktails. I tried a whisky sour… it was whisky of some sort but no sour, and served in a martini glass. Well where to start, the hotel was excellent , the staff were excellent the pool and surrounding areas excellent, the food was excellent no issues with choice etc. the only downside comment that I could make would be the fact that the room we had was definitely had a tired feeling about it, it was clean and tidy but it needed a revamp. this was happening in other areas but we had to walk along the passages where the work was being carried out (Hola to the workmen most mornings) the greatest recommendation is I will definitely be back next year but maybe I will request a room nearer reception and a walk in shower as I definitely got my steps in walking to and from the restaurant. it is really a lovely hotel and by the time all the refurbishments have been completed it will be brilliant.

We had a Wonderful 2 weeks relaxing time at the Timanfaya Palace in March. Champagne on arrival. Our room was lovely and spacious overlooking the sea.. The Hotel is kept very clean. All the staff are friendly and make you feel welcome and your stay an Excellent time. The food is very good with a good selection to suit all tastes, we were spoilt for choice. Plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Lovely coast road right outside the Hotel. We could not fault the Hotel or its location. It is the only Hotel that we have stayed in that I could have stayed another week. Thank you so much to the Manager and his Wonderful staff. We will return.

Superb staff, great location, really pleased with our choice Food great, loved the pool bar food, wine & again the great service. Premium drinks always served with a smile Loads of pool loungers and great grounds , very well kept, always a space The hotel was very always clean around and staff happy and friendly

Lovely hotel and rooms spacious. Food was delicious and always good choice. Always able to find a sunbed everyday and not the usual towels on beds first thing in morning and then left for hours. Heated pool was lovely and I enjoyed aqua aerobics everyday. Staff wonderful especially in the la bocaina restaurant.
