Overall the hotel is nice, with attractive decor, and guests checking out seemed satisfied. However, I wasn't impressed by my room's dim lighting, nonfunctioning shampoo pump, lack of outlets, loose nightstand outlets, single towel hook/no rack, or having to request things like additional lighting, a microwave, or a thermostat adjustment (or the additional tips they require). I also didn't appreciate the extra $300 tacked onto my bill. In an award-winning boutique hotel you expect to avoid minor inconveniences, and it made me wonder whether certain rooms are reserved for third-party bookings.
