호텔 도 보스케 애코 리조트(Hotel do Bosque Eco Resort)

Positive: - variety of foods served at the restaurant. - Super helpful and friendly staff at the restaurant and bars. - Fun activities by the swimming pools. - Beautiful sunsets from the beach in front of the hotel - You can see the macaws flying close to the hotel. Negative: - Check-in staff was clueless about how to charge an AMEX credit card. They blocked my card so I had to call the bank to reactivate it. Then I had to queue again for 1.5 hours to continue with the check in process. Total waste of my time. - very inefficient check in process. There were around 80 people in the reception area trying to figure out where to line up and no one was telling us where to queue. One line for checkin, another for picking up the keys, another for getting the luggage but no signs and no info. Very confusing and frustrating. - people had to wait around 20 minutes to get their luggage out from the storage room. - No consideration for my request. During the booking process I asked to get a room away from the lift to be able to rest. The room I got was right next to the lift!!

Best Western Jaco beach: esta vez no sé que pasó, en el pasado he tenido muy buenas experiencias, esta vez no tanto, principalmente en las comidas, el bufet fue para las dos noches lo mismo (la barbie con otro sombrero). Las bebidas y snacks excelentes como siempre. La habitación regular, suena mucho el ruido de pisos superiores. El personal con calidad humana

The hotel is very easy to acess. The rooms are very cozy. The food is very varied and delicious. And the service of the staff is wonderful.The facilities in general and the amenities are fantastic.The proximity to the beach is formidable.

First the bad: They played very loud music every night until 1am. If you're going there to party then this is the place for you. If you'd like to be asleep before 1 am, not so much. There was an improper lamp placement on the wall above the bed. My husband whacked his head on it the first night and subsequently tied a pillow to it! The water in the shower never got beyond luke warm. Otherwise, everything was fine. The food of course was bland, as all you can eat buffets tend to be. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was great, right on the beach. The pools were nice. We mostly used the hotel as a jumping off point to explore areas near by and it was good for that purpose. If I were going for a luxurious stay I would have chosen a nicer boutique style hotel with a spa.

If you speak only English this is not the place for you! The rooms were poorly set up, no dresser, 1 desk with 3 small drawers so 1 of us had to live out of the suitcase. The free alcohol was so watered down it wasn't worth drinking and the more convenient bar was only opened on the weekend. The so called snacks were terrible. The buffet had pretty much the same food every day. There were very few options that were not spanish foods and spicy. The only time there was bread was breakfast, no ability to make a sandwich for lunch. We did not really enjoy our stay there. Also we got there to early to check in due to our traving accomodations and were offerd 2 choices, 1. sit in the non-airconditioned lobby for 3 hours or 2. pay $50 to use the facilty and wait 3 hours for a room.

The grounds are very beautiful - lush and tropical. The rooms are EXTREMELY basic - open outside (motel style). No elevator - be prepared to tote luggage up 3 flights of concrete outside stairs. My room had black mold on ceiling and walls. No fridge or microwave in room and only 3 small drawers for storage. There is only 1 restaurant - and opened limited hours. The food is buffet and is actually pretty good. The service is very good! The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. There are 2 pools plus a kiddy pool. Both are very nice. The resort felt safe and the security at the front gate and back beach entrance was very good.

Realmente el hotel me parece muy bonito y la atención muy buena, solo en las habitaciones si el sistema del aire acondicionado que no enfriaba mucho y tenía un sonido muy fuerte durante la noche para que lo puedan tomar en cuenta, lo demás muy bien

Simple lista de recomendaciones para el hotel: - Mejoren el mantenimiento de las instalaciones, hay areas que se ven bien desgatadas (baños de áreas comunes, elevadores, luces que no encienden, etc.) - El agua de la piscina grande es verde y turbia, deberían de cerrarla hasta resolver esto - Mejoren la limpieza de las áreas comunes y la playa, no es posible que en todos los jardines haya basura y que el trayecto del hotel a la playa parezca un botadero
