패터데일 호텔(Patterdale Hotel)

Arrived to have a high tea, went to the toilet to find it blocked & over-flowing. Disgusting and unhygienic. It wasn’t signed as closed and the door was open. I asked the receptionist if there was another toilet, she said guests had their own toilets and a plumber had been called and it would be fixed in time he next few days. She couldn’t have cared less & unimpressive attitude. Shouldn’t be in hospitality if you can’t get some basic things like this right. If that’s their attitude then I’d give this place a miss.

2 nights here after a night at the Lamplighter in Windermere. Very enjoyable but obviously not in the same league! Much cheaper too. Beautiful setting. Sadly due to road works we couldn't experience the road South of the hotel, but that wasn't their fault! Catering mainly for walkers I would guess, the hotels evidently is much used and in need of some TLC but we had everything we needed. Central heating was good, plenty of hot water too. Food was also good, although service was a bit hurried, but you can tell the staff that, unlike the others, you are in no hurry. A good experience.

Amazing customer service especially in the restaurant. Nothing too much trouble from any member of the team. Comfortable rooms. Food excellent and caters for gluten free guests. Entertainment n,, twice weekly It's our fourth visit and will certainly return .

We have just returned home following a party of 4 booking at the Patterdale Hotel, Ullswater and wish to record our complete satisfaction over every aspect of our stay. Friendly welcoming atmosphere with a visible proactive manager who networked with guests. All the staff were helpful and polite and the food was just brilliant and plenty of it. The tall headwaiter and his team were totally professional and the chef and team deserve a medal. eds were great. We will be coming again so thanks for a great value weekend and a top hotel team.

A no frills hotel in a quiet location. Friendly, helpful staff plus generous , well presented food. Easy and ample parking. Surrounded by stunning views and plenty of walking trails around Ullswater Lake. Lake ferries enable easy access to other areas. .

We came here with friends on a deal which was an amazing one Dinner each night was good but don’t expect plush . It’s typical food for much older folks but well cooked 3 courses with good choices ,but it’s served way too quickly with little chance of a rest between courses . Second night we asked for a little break in between courses Our room 105 was very warm and the bed wasn’t great . Pipped music again reflects the age ranges of clientele Staff are lovely esp Mike the bar man

We stayed for 5 nights on a walking holiday with friends. We've stayed before and as last time our stay was very good value and very comfortable. We'd asked for a lake view room and we had one on the second floor. There was a good choice for breakfast - fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc together with the usual cooked buffet breakfast to choose from. At dinner there was always a good choice of starter, mains and desert. I loved the vegetables which were never overcooked. Every meal was tasty. Our room was clean and warm. The staff are helpful, friendly and smiling and impeccably turned out - esp the serving folk in the restaurant. We shall be back!

Once again thank you to all the staff for a very enjoyable midweek stay . Our thanks to the chef and his team for the amazing meals they produce. Our room had been completely redecorated with a new carpet, tv, wall lights we were very impressed. At one time the bar and lounge were full when they had a quiz and music night, the atmosphere was great and the bar itself very busy , however this time no entertainment at all so it seemed that everyone went to bed early . Such a shame but we will return :

We have coming to The Patterdale Hotel for many years. Best value anywhere on the planet. Staff are as always fantastic and nothing is to much trouble. The food has always been good but this time up amongst the best hotel food ever. Great location for lakes walks and great pint on return from a day on the hills. No wonder it’s always full. Come see what great service is for an amazing price. One down side is our bed is worn out but good to hear in other reviews that lots have been swapped out. Pay the price and come see what value and service is all about
