에카스 서프 리조트(Ekas Surf Resort & Surf Camp)

Our only regret upon arrival was not booking a month instead of just 5 days. Melissa and Dave are wonderful hosts, always super attentive to all our needs. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The food was simple amazing - I am not a fan of salads, but their was delicious. I had it with almost every meal. After our stay here, we stayed at a 5-star hotel in Bali and the food was not even close in quality or taste to what Ekas Surf Resort menu offers. The beach is just a quick 5 min walk away, and scooters are available if you prefer to drive. Snorkeling is a must - one of the best experiences of my life! We will definitely come back! Thank you Ekas Resort Team for such an incredible experience.

I spent one week at Ekas Surf Resort to do the surf camp and it was just amazing. If you’re a beginner or intermediate this is the perfect spot to progress your skills, and the resort is a very nice place to stay during that time. It’s located in a beautiful and quiet corner of Lombok close to very reliable and diverse surf spots. The resort is small and boutique, and has a relaxed and familiar vibe. The rooms are very nice and spacious, all facilities are spotless, and the food in the restaurant is fantastic. There’s also a nice pool to chill out. Melissa and her amazing team at the hotel went out of their way to make my stay a special experience. Dave is a great and enthusiastic surf teacher. He took me out to different spots early in the morning and/or in the late afternoon depending on conditions and, importantly to avoid crowds coming over by boat from other resorts, so I had plenty of waves on my own to learn. That’s one of the main advantages of doing a surf camp here compared to other surf camps on Lombok in my opinion. They also have local surf guides who help with positioning on the water and reading the waves, which is super helpful. Dave and his team on the water really made lots of efforts to ensure I maximized my wave count and improved my technique as much as possible. They take pride in their students’ progress and that really pays off. I made so much more progress than I was hoping for!! Overall I can’t recommend it highly enough. Ekas surf resort is a nice hotel with a pool and restaurant. Everything was very clean and appealing. The staff was friendly. The food was good, but don't expect 100% what is written in the menu. Sometimes -depending on the season and availability - the ingredients might change. This is actually pretty good, but an info would be nice (especially in case of intolerance). The only issue we had was the prayers due to Ramadan. The mosk is not too far away and therefore quite loud. There was almost non stop noise from 21:00 until 03:00. It's not about praying, but the volume. At the end ear plugs helped.

Amazing place but thank you over everything to the staff which made us feeling so well here and having such a good time. From cleaners, officers, chefs.. Terimakasi Banyak!!! :) We will come back for sure!

Great place to stay, delicious food, nice rooms, wide options for daytrips and activities. And the friendliest staff one can imagine! Would recommend renting a scooter to be able to visit the beaches and villages around.

really great food, very friendly staff especially Iskanda and Amir. Maybe spice up the Fruit Juice Menü a littel bit and add a barista coffee machine. A little bit more structure on when and where to surf would be great, without Iskanda everything is a little bit to chaotic.

Our stay was very nice, starting from the first day. All day surfing, boat to Ekas Inside from 6am to 5:30pm. Highly motivated and helpful staff, especially Iskanda took care that we have everything. Nice variety of food. Definitely coming back. Big thanks!

Melissa and Dave have created a beautiful little oasis with very comfortable rooms, great staff and a really nice restaurant. This is a miniature-resort, with the feel of being at a resort, without all the walking. The staff were so attentive, friendly and pro-active. The food was delicious and my surf lesson with Deon was spectacular. The Inside Ekas wave is super fun, even for a beginner surfer like me. The beach is only a few minutes walk away - just be aware of a somewhat steep-ish, slippery decent, which can be a bit difficult to navigate after rain. The beach is nice, but, unfortunately full of trash (general experience of beaches in Indonesia though). Went on a snorkelling trip to one of the most beautiful, lively coral reefs I have ever seen and spent some time on one of the pink beaches (which was super clean) and great for swimming. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!

We liked the room, breakfast and location of the hotel. Thank you! We ran out of toilet paper on the last day… Unacceptable! There was no water available in the room. We arrived at night and no place to get a bottle of water in the hotel. We went to reception but their response was very dismissive. Overall, a place with big potential but falling short in getting the little details right.
