비야 콜룸부스(Villa Columbus Family Boutique Hotel)

If you would like to totally unwind in old school Spanish style, with attentive and charming staff- in exquisitely beautiful surroundings then this well run small villa complex is for you..... The place is a charming and serene oasis. The staff are all genuinely amazing and most attentive. Service with a smile every time. The food - including breakfast is of high quality. Food can be ordered throughout the day until about 9.30. Chef takes pride in his work and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Rooms are basic in Spanish style but clean and good air con in all rooms. A lot of steps so maybe not for those with any mobility issues. The place was established back in the 60s and it certainly retains an air of former traditional times. Quality, relaxation, beautiful grounds and pool, lovely dining terrace with fountain, traditional bar ( check out the Sangria _ Julio's recipe! ) A mix of nationalities _ all pleasantly getting along together. If you want to visit the town - the main tourist Street is just near enough to stroll in 5 minutes. The lovely beach one more minute away. If Columbus had discovered this place he may not have ventured any further!!!

A lovely small hotel with a beautiful relaxing pool area and stunning gardens. Very attentive staff. Saskia and Paco were amazing. The food here is fantastic and the seafood paella was the best I've had. Our rooms were kept immaculately clean throughout our stay. Sad to go home!

The staff were super friendly! We were always asked what we wanted to drink for breakfast and the staff was always super helpful. We arrived late at our hotel but had already received all the information via whatsapp so that we could go to our room and check in the next day after breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with a fresh egg every day if desired and home made cake, delicious bread, charcuterie, yogurt, cornflakes and juices. The hotel was nice and quiet with 2 public car parks nearby which was fantastic for us since we had rented a car. The hotel is close to the center of Peguera and the sea, yet far enough to be quiet. The town is beautiful with nice restaurants and shops, the doctor and pharmacy are also nearby. We had a nice spacious room with a terrace and a view of the swimming pool, nice and quiet in the low season. The buildings are one floor high, so you don't feel enclosed and there are no problems with too many neighbors. It's a cozy stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book it again!

Stayed here as a family wth two young children in the family room. Positives * Very well located, only 5 min walk into centre of resort, which has lots of shops and nice restaurants and a fantastic beach. Beach great for little ones as very shallow sea and soft sand. 20/25 min from airport. * Pool area is very well kept and tranquil, in a lovely setting. Some days we had the pool to ourselves and it was the school holidays! Negatives * Extremely basic room and very noisy. The family room was located directly above a road, which was not busy but had recycling bins and service entries to a few hotels. We were woken every morning at 6.30am by a constant stream of either bin men (who came every day), delivery lorries and coaches. This had an impact on our stay as we couldnt keep the kids up too late in the evening as they were woken up early each morning. Balcony also very unsafe for young children as not enclosed. Sheets not cleaned for the whole week stay - this was an extra charge. When paying nearly 200 euro a night, I would have expected clean sheets at least once during the stay. Also no pool towels provided, again an extra charge. * Not sure about the previous good reviews for the food. We are foodies and enojy local cuisine. We did not really enjoy the hotel food. There was a massive wasp problem and the breakfast buffet was covered in wasps crawling all over the food. Same limited choice every day, no fresh pastries and only melon as the fresh fruit. Coffee however was very nice. We often grabbed a fresh bakery item from one of the many bakeries in the town as we left breakfast hungry. We ate at the hotel in the evening twice. The first time was ok, although i ordered seafood pasta and got a pizza! The second (tapas night) was very slow service despite there being only two tables eating (took two hours) and the food was tasteless. Both meals were ruined by the amount of wasps. At one point we counted 20 wasps on our table when we were trying to eat. Overall, I suppose for a 2 star hotel ,the hotel is ok. It certainly has a charm about it and the pool area and surroundings were lovely. We will not however be staying again as it was far too basic and noisy for us.

Location is good.Staff and owners are very friendly.Breakfast and the restaurant are perfect.I and My son have been in april for tennis and enjoy:)) We ended up eating at Villa Columbus every night! We are realy appricate again for great hospitality.Hope to come back

excellent service - nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. excellent food - we ended up eating at Villa Columbus every night! wonderful character setting - nothing like the modern "box room" hotels in the area. Villa Columbus is set in wonderful gardens and has so much character reflecting its heritage. good facilities - the rooms are quite basic but totally functional. showers are hot and strong and the beds are very comfortable. great air conditioning!! amazing breakfast included in the price!

Ende März waren wir für sieben Tage in diesem sehr schönen gelegenen kleinen Hotel – superfreundliches Personal, sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet und absolut sauberes Zimmer und Bad. Getrübt wurde unser Aufenthalt allerdings davon, dass wir noch nie zuvor so ein hellhöriges Zimmer wie in diesem Hotel hatten. Wenn der Nachbar duscht, meint man, die Dusche wäre im eigenen Zimmer an, reden die Nachbarn versteht man praktisch jedes Wort. Dank Ohropax konnten wir trotzdem schlafen. Leider hat uns jeden Morgen der Rücken geschmerzt, die Betten sind sehr hart. Wi-Fi gibt es wie uns aber auch im Vorfeld schon bekannt war lediglich in der Nähe des Office und des Restaurants, nicht aber auf dem Zimmer. Ganz in der Nähe gibt es kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten, generell sind in Paguera bis 31. März in der Wintersaison keine Parkgebühren zu bezahlen.

Prijs/kwaliteit is het meer dan waard! Gastvrij ontvangst! Superfijn/schoon. Mooie tuin en zwembad! Lekker ontbijt inclusief! Goede wifi Een aanrader! Ik zou hier zeker met mijn hele familie naartoe gaan. Ook de ligging is perfect! Vlakbij het strand!.

Bereits im Sommer 2022 waren wir hier. Das idyllische Hostal Villa Columbus mit seinen 30 Zimmern und seinem großartigen Personal hat uns auch dieses Mal wieder überzeugt. Vieles aus unserer Bewertung von 2022 findet sich hier wieder, das wir alles nur bestätigen können. Das Villa Columbus liegt einen kurzen Weg vom Strand und dem Bulevar, der verkehrsberuhigten Hauptstraße mit Restaurants und Geschäften, entfernt an einem Hügel. Auf dem Weg zum Strand gibt es einen kleinen, spanischgeführten, Supermarkt mit allem, was man für einen Strandurlaub braucht. Die Zimmer sind für eine 2-Sterne-Haus sehr gut und mit allen wichtigen Dingen ausgestattet. Die Betten fanden wir angenehm. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit Topper für die Betten zu bekommen, falls einem diese zu fest sind. Die Klimaanlage ist inklusive, Safe und Kühlschrank gibt es gegen Gebühr. Der Kühlschrank ist hilfreich, da nicht nur ein paar Getränke reinpassen, sondern auch das eine oder andere zum Essen. Die Zimmerreinigung ist besonders hervorzuheben, es war immer sehr sauber! Das gesamte Team ist fantastisch und sorgt dafür, dass die Gäste sich richtig wohlfühlen. Das Besondere in diesem Haus ist, dass es ein kleines Team gibt, dass der Gast innerhalb kürzester Zeit kennt und das auch alle Gäste kennt und v.a. auch wiedererkennt. So wurden wir gleich bei Ankunft herzlich begrüßt. Zimmerreinigung, Restaurant, Rezeption, Hotelleitung sorgen auf einer sehr persönlichen Basis allesamt für einen wirklich gelungenen Urlaub. Besser kann ein Hotel nicht geführt und betreut werden. Das Frühstück habe ich letztes Mal ganz vergessen zu erwähnen. Es ist sehr vielfältig. Rührei und Spiegelei werden frisch nach Wunsch mit weitern Zutaten zubereitet. Kaffee gibt es in unzähligen Varianten und auch viele verschiedene Teesorten. Hervorzuheben ist, dass wir diese Mal spät im Herbst da waren und zwei Tage vor der Winterschließung erst abgereist sind. Dies hat die Vielfalt am Frühstücksbuffet überhaupt nicht beeinflusst. Abends gibt es die Möglichkeit a la carte zu Essen. Wir fanden das Essen sehr gut. Die Karte bietet so schon einiges, dazu kommen Themenabende, die das Angebot erweitern. Für Meeresfrüchteliebhaber sei ein Blick in unsere Bewertung aus dem Sommer 2022 empfohlen. Der Pool ist schön angelegt. Es gibt auch noch einen Tischtennisplatte und eine kleine Minigolfanlage.
