Great location on the island, wonderful reception, good beds, very friendly people, great view for breakfast

With had a room with private pool which was lovely. The room was a good size and had a lounge area which was also spacious, as was the patio. The staff were all delightful and always extremely helpful and did try to resolve issues when we pointed them out. Breakfast is a buffet and there was a huge choice which they kept well stocked and refilled quite quickly. The communal pool is lovely but seemed to hardly be used which was great for me. I also had a treatment at the spa which was expensive but very good. The beach is perfect with plenty of comfy beds, shade, and calm seas – it’s the best bit in the hotel. So why 4 and not 5 out of 5? I don’t expect to find black mold in the shower of a hotel of this standard. They cleaned it away but it should never have been there. Scuffed paintwork. Some instances of style over practicality – not enough places to hang towels where the hand basins are. Nowhere to dry wet beach towels. Light bulbs not working. Housekeeping or senior staff really need to regularly inspect for things like that. Would we stay there again? We would because of the location and beach, and because Patmos is charming.

Fantastic Hotel! Enjoyed it thoroughly! It was so convenient being able to have access to a beach and swimming pool. The breakfast was sensational!

The best ever we had! The staff, beach, area, private pool all over the best 5 star hotel in Patmos.

We loved the hotel - we had a fabulous room with a private plunge pool but spent a lot of time at the beach, where as soon as you arrived a member of staff organised a sunbed and ice water. It was the little attention to detail and the great service from the staff that went a long way to making our stay enjoyable, but the Front Office Manager, Manolis Kamilakis, made our stay really memorable. He overheard us talking about our 42nd wedding anniversary which was the day we came, and organised champagne, fruit and a lovely letter to be waiting for us in our room. Food, service and ambiance were first class and I unhesitatingly recommend this hotel.

Amazing experience and they saved us, we had made the tragic decision to book with this other hotel called 9 muses which say they are a 5 star hotel they are not. This hotel is, first of all just the drive in and the reception is a 5 stra resort, you feel like you are on holiday, the smells, the sounds everything. They were nice enough to let us choose between 2 rooms, and we chose the one with the swim up pool, even though the pool was public, hardly anyone went in, so it felt very private. The breakfast was impeccable, even though the service at the breakfast was a bit slow. Lovely shower, great taverns on the beach next door, staff very willing to help you in any way, one even offered to go shop my groceries as he was going that way. We actually extended our stay because of how relaxed we felt. Definitely the only hotel I will be staying in in Patmos

Anasa spa is amazing! Had the most relaxing facial of my life. They used lavender which was so great and have a wonderful face message. Spieros is the best! Aktis is wonderful! It is so beautiful and the food is also delicious.

We had a nice stay at Patmos aktis. The beach was great, but really understaffed. The breakfast was great also. The rooms were spacious. However, we had an extra child bed in our room and the second night we saw that there were ants in it. We called the reception, room cleaning didn’t come until the next day. And the next night and the night after that we had the same ant problem. The management didn’t call to check if the problem was fixed, or came up with another solution. We weren’t able to use the bed at all during our stay. It was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. It is a really nice hotel with great facilities, however management is not 5 star.

I can't imagine a *better hotel resort* on the island of Patmos. An incredibly immaculate sleek modern resort on the private and pristine Grikos Bay. AND our 2-level suite had a private pool to boot. Here are the highlights of the Aktis (and it might not be what you think): a staff that CARES. For me that is number one. When I was stung by a bee, when I needed to find a quality guide for the holy sites, when I wanted a craft cocktail made just the way I like, when I wanted to simply talk about the island or even humanity at large: IT WAS THE STAFF that came through and rose to the occasion. Such a level of connection. And, my friends: THAT is the sign of a quality hotel. Not even the posh room or beach or restaurant- the wonderful staff makes the experience. I am grateful to have stayed at the Aktis and hope to return. The beach is GREAT. Restaurants lovely. Views made me almost weep in joy!
