The Mulberry House on the Grand

Our stay at the Mulberry House on the Grand was so incredible that I feel compelled to write a review. Due to the (large) size of my extended family, we usually need a bigger venue to accommodate all of us for our get togethers. With over thirty people and a few dogs, it was the perfect place to have our family Christmas party/retreat. Cindy and Mike are the most gracious hosts and made everyone feel welcome. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the snow covered trees and the Grand River. It felt a bit like it was out of a fairytale. On top of all the luxuries of any hotel room, we had our own fireplace, which was particularly lovely at Christmas time. The beds were really comfortable and the room was well equipped. We have two young daughters who took full advantage of the warm indoor pool. We went swimming three separate times, and we had a blast every time. As a family, we also took advantage of the hot tub, and I also had a chance to use the therapy room which was relaxing and revitalizing. I have travelled extensively and this was the one of best breakfasts I’ve eaten! The four of us each chose a different breakfast and they were each delicious and different from each other. I don’t know how we could ever top that Christmas party, but I wouldn’t want to attempt it anywhere else now. The best part was that we could all stay in such a comfortable, welcoming space and not have to drive home after. Mulberry House is magical and the hosts really go above and beyond. 100% recommend. Treat yourself and you will not regret it!

Mulberry House on the Grand is a hidden gem! It is set on a beautifully landscaped piece of land right on The Grand River in Paris Ontario. Michael and CC have opened their beautiful home for guests to enjoy. There are many nooks to curl up and read, look out at the scenery or you can enjoy the use of their indoor heated pool and hot tub. . Our visit occurred during a huge snowstorm, so we decided to stay in and relax because the roads were heavily snow covered. At midday a knock came to our door, and it was CC with a lovely charcuterie snack because we couldn’t get out to a restaurant. The big attraction though is her breakfasts. They are to die for and are as good as any 5 star hotel. I highly recommend Mulberry House, you won’t be disappointed!

Our stay at the Mulberry House on the Grand was nothing short of a relaxing retreat. With its charming cottage-like atmosphere, it provided a truly beautiful experience. Our hosts, Mike and CC, were absolutely lovely and attentive to every detail, making our stay exceptional. Being gluten-free due to celiac disease, I was delighted by the most amazing gluten-free French toast they prepared, served with maple syrup and fresh fruit. My partner, who is not gluten-free, tried both the gluten-free and regular versions, and found them indistinguishable—a rare and delightful treat for anyone with dietary restrictions. Additionally, their homemade mulberry lemonade and jam were simply divine. The amenities were perfect for unwinding. We enjoyed a refreshing swim in their pool, relaxed in the hot tub, and ended our evenings by the fire at sunset. The entire experience was exactly what we were looking for. During our stay, we had lunch at Stillwater's, just a four-minute drive away, where we dined on gluten-free pickerel and cauliflower flatbread. We finished the meal with delicious chocolates and ice cream from Chocolate Sensations. A visit to the Wincey Mills in the downtown area added to our enjoyable experience, and the next day we took a scenic drive to The St. Jacobs Market. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat, we highly recommend the Mulberry House on the Grand. While there are many stairs, which could be an issue for those with accessibility concerns, it was not a problem for us. We found our stay to be very well-priced, especially considering the amazing breakfast included. We were very happy with our stay and can't wait to return!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Mulberry House on the Grand. CC and Mike were wonderful, welcoming hosts who did everything possible to make our party memorable...and it was! The house is so very comfortable with many attractive sitting areas inside and out, and lovely bedrooms each with private bathrooms. Our family enjoyed the outdoor dining, the pool, the games, the beautiful grounds overlooking the river. ....and the outstanding breakfast! We highly recommend Mulberry house and look forward to coming back soon.

Such a gem - the luxury is beyond - and your hosts are THE nicest people ever! CC and Mike go well above and beyond in this luxury boutique guest house. We had the SunRoom and it was unbelievable. Every possibility has been considered from snacks and drinks in room , air conditioning and fireplace in room, superior calming views from your pinterest worthy suite to all the shared spaces throughout this magnificent house. The breakfast was way over the top. We will be looking for reasons to return as soon as possible!

We held a leadership meeting event here - it was the first meeting CC has hosted and she knocked it out of the park. It was a rainy day so we were unable to get outside and enjoy the property on breaks but the room we had for the day was comfortable and spacious. Everything was ready and available from coffee, tea, fresh made muffins, croissants and oh that mulberry jam!! Lunch was lovely with delicious sandwiches and a lemon mulberry cake to top it off. I definitely want to visit again when the day passes are available as the space is very calming and peaceful and from the windows the view outside and grounds seem lovely. The only thing I might suggest is a wider meeting table as we all had laptops and note pads and it was a little squishy for 6 of us.
