셀리나 파라티(Selina Paraty)

I'm a bit mixed about my stay, I stayed in the cheapest dorm, the air was very humid inside, this happens in tropical places but this one was extreme bad inside the room, the showers and bathrooms are clean, the staff was super friendly, the restaurant really need more options for food, really small choice, yet the breakfast has many good options, my room was bad because of the air inside but I did check other parts of Selina like the bungalo's and they looked great, if you decide to stay in Selina here, dont go for the cheapest option is what I would recommend. The location is great, walking distance of old city center (which is super lovely) and walking distance to the beach. I'll upload some pictures of the place where you should stay when you sleep in Selina! MY REVIEW OF THE ROOM IS NOT BASED ON THE PICTURES! Mine was the cheapest dorm but if i stayed there in the pictures my stay would have been perfect!

Otimo é lindo as instalações bem personalizadas, infelizmente o café da manha é um grande problema equipe mal preparada chega a ser desesperador aguardar para ser atendido. Espero que melhorem pois um hotel desse porte nao pode ter um café desse jeito.

This is a hostel rather than a hotel but this isnt made clear on the booking websites. We chose a cylinder room but didnt realise this means sharing toilets / showers with another 10 cylinder rooms. The cylinder contains the bed and some standing room at the foot of the bed - that is all! The toilets and showers arent the cleanest and you have to go outside to get to them. Not great.

The room was full of mold and smelled bad. It wasn’t clean. Breakfast and service was nice but they need to do something about the rooms and invest in their maintenance. It made us not want to be there.

Really bad service! They left us sitting at reception for 1.5 hours- our room was only ready at 4:30pm Room was dirty(sheets with blood stains) seemed to be some kind of insect(tons of bugs in the room)… at the breakfast we specifically asked the day before if they would have the vegan breakfast available and they assured us they would… next morning not vegan breakfast The aircon only goes off or on so during the night you’re either freezing or boiling and have to keep waking up to flip the switch

This hostel is located right besides a condominium where people come to enjoy family and friends, but they have NO RESPECT for anybody. They have no respect for the city’s residents. They start playing a horrible selection of electronic songs at 5pm and ends at 11pm. We can not even talk and understand each other inside our own homes. Disgusting and disgraceful.

Fantastic team. Always smiling and happy to help. Nice relaxing atmosphere and would definitely go back. Only thing, the room could be fixed up. The curtain was falling down and the closet door couldn’t close and there where no hangers. But would definitely recommend Selena for a great stay in Paraty.
