라 메종 폰타인하스(Am¿Tays & Trails la Maison Fontainhas)

My family visited Goa last week and during day time Ladies need to use washroom; this hotel refuses them to use the washroom. My family requested a lot but they refused and told that they don’t obey rules and this is Goa and they are above the Law of the land. It’s requested to please look in to it as they are tarnishing the image of Goa being a tourist paradise of India. When Law is saying that you can not refuse to use washrooms.

Beautiful heritage property (you can’t miss it on arrival as it’s very popular with tourists for instagram!) with nice internal decoration. Spacious simple rooms with AC and fan. Breakfast is included and cooked fresh - juice, one hot dish and tea/coffee. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice enough place.

We checked into this place today - looks fantastic on the website and the place is done up really well, however from the time we entered the experience has been a DISASTER! We were told that we were the only guests for the night and yet the room we got was not even checked and after getting into the room - none of the lamps were working. The breakfast Is LIMITED and HOW! The first thing on the LIMITED menu cannot be served….FRESH Watermelon juice! We asked for a late checkout and Fernandes the in-charge said he would need to check on the same. Needless to say we are leaving as soon as we can!

Excellent B&B in perfect location; rooms large and clean, good size bathrooms with lovely French style fittings and very clean. Highly recommend. Staff are excellent.

This building is the standout structure in the tourist area of Fontainhas. The dark green color of the building truly makes it look apart from the ***y other structures in the area from the Portuguese era. As for the accommodation, the rooms are comfortable. You find tourists handing around outside the building for photographs. Unfortunately, there are a few ignorant ones who don't respect the effort made to keep the buildings clean and preserve it's aesthetic appeal. They lean on the building walls with their legs which you can't do to a private property and that's why there is a "no photo" notice put up. However, if you can respect the cleanliness, well and good. Dominic, Terrence, ***n and Fernandes are a group of really great people who ***age the property very well and are responsive to any requests and queries. Got good WiFi too. Breakfast is very limited, though. Rooms are with cozy beds, clean and comfortable. Amazing maintenance.

They messed up my colleagues reservation on checkin. Told us that visitors were not allowed in guest rooms which was never specified previously. Lied to us about the bar not being open - which the owner later told us was. While rooms in themselves were nice and clean overall attitude left much to be desired. Missed the "Tajness" which is why we booked in the first place.

I stayed at La Maison for 4 nights on a visit to Panaji and I am extremely satisfied. The room was amazing, the staff excellent and the location is simply perfect if you are looking for easy access to some of the town's nicest restaurants. When I return to India soon (Corona permitting), I look forward to staying at La Maison again.

Disappointing property. Location next to sewage drain makes it smelly. On main main road makes it noisy. Dogs barking at night. Very basic facilities. The only positive was that our room was changed on request to a less noisy one on first floor, from the ground floor. Recommend staying near Kudle beach area rather than main beach at Gokarna.
