Barceló Aruba - All Inclusive

The Barcelo was ok as far as the guests, friendly visitors The room was filthy hair all over the bathroom clumps of hair in the hot tub, disgusting & unacceptable The makeup mirror was ripped out of the wall & hanging by one screw, ready to fall & smash at any time. When brought to the front desk attention, they did nothing! Won’t ever go back

Overall this worked out well. Not huge highend but certain not cheap. Mid range which was perfect. The rooms were nothing special but had a good view of the pool and beach, were clean and the fridge was always stocked. We had 2 connect rooms which was perfect. I will note the noise from the pool could be heard during the day and the base beat from music from the ****** at night. We were 4th floor so maybe higher up would be better. Email ahead and make restaurant reservations. The buffet was A+ for breakfast. Average for lunch and dinner. Aruban seafood fell flat. We expected more than what felt like gussy-up buffet. Patio location is wonderful spot. Both Italian ( ask for a table outside when you reserve) and pan-Asian we’re very good. The teppankyakin table was a blast. But also carte service was good. Mexican was like average Americanized Mexican across the US. The beach is nice. But do not expect much to see snorkeling. Better places to go on island. Lots of loungers but can be hard to get after 11am. Use a float mat to make them a bit more comfortable. Palm tree, canopies and shade structures make it easy to be out of direct sun if you want. A really nice breeze most of the time. And staff circulate to bring you drinks. Pool is large enough. But after 8am no chaise are left. No real breeze. Not for swimming. Most people stand and drink. Not a place for family with young kids. Not real kid pool/kid areas. Small playground in direct sun. This is mainly for adults.

Buffet and restaurant could be better. Dinner buffet was not impressive. Restaurants service was somewhat slow. Rooms clean but could use some updating. Pool is great. Excellent access to beach and walking to shopping and dining.

I like the accommodations and staff was very friendly. The pool side is beautiful with a swim up bar

My husband and I were there for our long delayed honeymoon. We payed $1000 per night with the hope that the experience at Barcelo with be one of a kind. Let’s start with not acknowledging us as being there as husband and wife. Nothing in the room indicated that we were there to celebrate our honeymoon. The room was small. The key door had to be changed at least 3 or 4 times as it never worked. The shower could not drain. While taking a shower we were afraid that the bathroom could easily overflow with water. This was ridiculous for a 5 star rated hotel. It gets better, the soap dispenser was broken therefore it was impossible to soap your body without being frustrated. In addition it is an all inclusive hotel therefore all meals were provided. The food and service were terrible. My husband and I ended up dining out every day of our vacation. There not enough social events. There was only one bar and they can only make one type of drink. How do you stay in business? The physical appearance of the place is not friendly. When reporting those issues to the manager Isabelle, she was absolutely indifferent and could care less as she was not trying her best to understand our complaints. I would not recommend you

We had a very nice vacation. Rooms very clean, bathroom small but does the job, beds very comfortable, A/C worked well. Restaurants were good. Italian was our favorite one, we went twice and had Carlos as our waiter. He was the best!! Disappointed with seafood restaurant…. Food okay but service was off. The bar off the lobby made great martinis….try espresso or chocolate. 😋 All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The only other issues was getting a chair or spot at the pool. Found it crazy to have to get up so early in am while on vacation. The beach is beautiful! We found that getting chairs late in the morning under a palm tree worked perfectly for getting some shade while on the beach and Vanessa was always there to refresh your drinks. She was so fun and kind! Overall I would recommend Barceló Aruba. It was a great winter getaway!

Staffs are very good and friendly. The room could be better if has hair conditioner and body lotion. WiFi is really terrible. Air condition is very loud.

I am a senior citizen who needs assistance. My son and daughter-in-law stayed in the hotel next door and the Barcelo would not let either of them walk me to my room for assistance in preparation for bedtime and for picking me up in the morning.

My first room was horrible but the supervisor and hotel manager moved us to a nice room. The first room was a shock! It needed multiple things fixed which were done but I couldn’t see out the sliding glass door.
