핸디워터 코티지 B&B(Handywater Cottages)

The Handywater Cottages is far and away the best bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed at. The cottages are surrounded by roses, sunflowers and geraniums and are warm, lovely, and immaculately clean inside. The original house, where breakfast is served, is historic… 500 years old… and has been beautifully restored. The neighborhood is semi rural and very green and pretty. I saw the place in both brilliant sunshine and on a cloudy day and it’s beautiful in all weather. The proprietors Natalie and Ray are kind and very helpful, picking me up at the Henley train station and dropping me off as needed in town for dinner and shopping. The English breakfast was delicious and so perfectly served that it was photogenic.

This needs more than 5 stars. A fantastic B&B. Beautiful rooms (we stayed in sunflower) spotlessly clean great linen, bed and shower we could not fault anything. Ray and Natalie are lovely people and have thought of everything and clearly know how to look after you. The first night we dined in a nearby restaurant and Natalie kindly gave us a lift. The second after a very long day we grabbed some picky bits and ate on the terrace. The communal kitchen has everything in it that you may want. The breakfast is amazing you will not go hungry. Natalie and Ray thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home until next year we will be back . Xx

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay:- special English breakfast … a menu with lots of choice to choose from. We could charge our hybrid car and keep it safe. Close to the woods for nature walks. We could use the guest washing and dryer machine. It was a lovely place to organise oneself for the rest our our road trip. They were kind enough to tell us local knowledge. We highly recommend Handywater cottage. Lovely gardens. Ray and Natalie love their nature and gardens. Thanks for everything. Hope to see you in Holland.

I discovered this gem on *********** The host Natalie could not have been more helpful and accommodating to cater to my needs. Reality exceeded expectations on every level. You could not think of any way to improve on perfection. Attention to detail is the watchword here. If you are a perfectionist this is your dream come truer. I cannot overstate Handywater cottages. For a special birthday or anniversary this is the place to stay. Next door to, but not to close to the Golden Ball pub/restaurant for an excellent lunch, evening meal or supper. Thank you Natalie

We had a brilliant stay. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel instantly at home. The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfy! The location is stunning and peaceful but only 5 minutes from Henley.. perfect. Finally the breakfast was great and massive! We will be staying again.

This was a last minute find after being let down by another b and b and I genuinely believe it was meant to be. We couldn't have asked for kinder, more attentive hosts. Natalie was there to welcome us from the moment we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and was delicious, we pre ordered and gave a time preference and it was ready for us as soon as we went in. There was also a great selection of cereal, fruit and yoghurt. We stopped in the lavender room and it was immaculate, with a selection of tea and coffee and fresh milk in the fridge as well as bottled water. The bed was also super comfy. Nothing was too much trouble for them, we only stopped for a couple of nights but it is in a beautiful setting and cannot thank Natalie and her husband enough for such a lovely stay.

If you would like the best then just stay and relax at this beautiful B&B. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile from hosts Natalie and Ray. The rooms were designed with style and comfort in mind so as to help make you relax and enjoy the English countryside. Wonderful fresh eggs for breakfast direct from the owners chickens in the grounds to the table. Your breakfast will set you up so as to explore the Thames Valley. The extra touch from our hosts was to have our room decorated with hearts in celebration of our 52nd Wedding Anniversary. Thank you both so much for your kindness and giving us both memories to look back on!! Wishing you both much happiness as this is what you gave us during our stay.

From the minute we arrived until our departure the next morning our hosts could not have been more welcoming and attentive. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The attention to detail was outstanding, with every possible care taken in making their hospitality second to none. We will definitely book again on our next visit to the area.

The hosts did everything to make our stay memorable and we hope to be able to return sometime in the future.
