타워 하우스 게스트 하우스 옥스포드(Tower House Guest House)

이것은 호텔이 아닙니다! 우리는 이곳에서 3박을 묵었는데 그곳에서 일하는 사람을 본 적이 없습니다. 체크인이나 체크아웃 중에는 아무도 없습니다. 리셉션이 없습니다. 우리 방에는 수건을 바꾸거나 쓰레기통을 비울 수 없습니다. 물이나 차 용품의 재입고가 없습니다. 엘리베이터가 없으며 좁은 계단을 올라가려면 짐을 직접 들고 올라가야 합니다. 아침 식사가 없습니다. 욕실의 팬이 작동하지 않아서 빠르게 샤워를 하고 나면 방이 매우 습해졌습니다. 기발한 샤워 시설, 밖에서 시끄러운 직원들, 우리 방 밖에 불과 몇 센티미터, 고르지 못한 벽과 삐걱거리는 바닥. 모든 것이 다소 끔찍하게 들리며, 다른 호텔 숙박과 똑같을 것이라는 기대를 가지고 여기에 오면 그럴 것입니다. 하지만 뭔가 다른 것, 매력이 넘치는 곳, 훌륭한 위치, 400년 된 집에서 머물 수 있는 곳을 원하신다면 제대로 찾아오셨습니다! 이곳에서 즐거운 시간을 보냈고, 아이들도 좋아했습니다. 옥스포드로 다시 간다면 이곳에 묵고 싶을 것입니다. 추천! 추가 보너스는 학생들을 지원하는 것을 목표로 하는 조직인 Student Hub를 지원하는 사회적 기업이라는 것입니다. 우리는 Foundry와 Bastion 룸을 모두 욕실에 갖추고 있었습니다(Bastion에는 샤워기가 아닌 배트 욕조만 있었지만). 이곳은 호텔이 아니니 주의하시기 바랍니다. 그리고 현대적인 기준에 미치지 못하는 손잡이 계단과 계단을 걸을 수 있어야 합니다.

정말 흠잡을 곳이 없는 곳이네요. 일반적으로 현장에는 직원이 전혀 없습니다. 매우 비공식적입니다. 나를 들여보낸 하녀는 포르투갈어만 할 줄 알고 나보다 프랑스어도 서툴렀지만 우리는 그럭저럭 해냈다. 심플하고 소박한 방과 욕실. 좋은 침대, 완벽하게 편안합니다. 다른 시설이나 서비스는 없습니다. 내 방의 선풍기는 최고의 시절을 지났지만 작동했습니다. 인터넷은 잘 작동했습니다. 조용한 거리, 매우 좁은 홀과 가파른 계단이 있는 삐걱거리는 오래된 건물. 훌륭한 위치.

이렇게 나쁜 호텔에 묵어본 적이 없습니다. 매우 비싸다. 직원 중 영어를 전혀 못하는 직원이 없습니다. 호텔에서는 축축한 냄새와 하수 냄새가 납니다. 방이 심하게 청소되었습니다. 침대 밑에서 중고 콘돔을 발견했어요! 정말 역겹다! 제대로 장착되지 않은 샤워기에 곰팡이가 생겼습니다. 디럭스룸으로 판매됨에도 불구하고 전망은 끔찍합니다. 주인은 내 불만에 관심이 없었고 어떤 종류의 환불도 거부했습니다.

The only good thing about the tower house is the location, very central for everything. But it goes downhill from there, managers are non existent, very difficult to get hold of by phone and extremely rude and uncaring. The photos on their sites are of the two rooms they keep tidy for publicity and even they are not great. We arrived and had to phone, took several attempts for them to answer, they gave us code to keybox, let ourselves in, totally unmanned reception so had to phone again about which room we were in as no one was there. We were told that two rooms shared a bathroom which would have been ok but in reality The only bathroom is on the top floor with four flight of stairs and shared between 6 other rooms! So as you can imagine it was terrible to try and use the shower/ toilet as it was always occupied but we didn't really want to use it as it was so dirty with mould, mildew etc. We were in The little blue room, a small double but it wasn't a double bed but a queen size one so very small. There was a sink in a very dark alcove with no light as it was broken. The room itself was very dirty, stained carpet and bedding, dirty curtains, marks on walls, holes in the walls, large mark on one wall with holes where the bed head had been fixed to wall! Overall a very unkempt dirty room. The whole house had a feeling of disrepair, neglect, dirty, as if the owners couldn't be bothered. So sad to see a grade II listed building kept in such a condition. Feel that they just wanted peoples money and are uncaring of the condition of the house. We were not the only ones with similar complaints and concerns about broken and dirty rooms. When we complained we were told that it you don't like it then leave! We are writing to Oxford council ref the state of a listed building and the owners attitude towards visitors and contacting the other sites where they are listed to make people aware.

I’m on the fence about this place. It was in a safe area in a great location for tourists. Walking everywhere was not a problem. The guy that checked us in was nice and friendly. Online we chose 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. My and my daughter slept in one room, husband and son in another. We understood we were sharing a bathroom but there was another room sharing it with us. Probably just an American’s misunderstanding. It was a small but comfortable room. The bedding was clean. On the bad side- I was unhappy with the shower. It didn’t drain. Someone else’s stuff was left in there. The bedroom wall plaster was cracking and had lots of holes. It wasn’t dirty but I changed socks before getting into bed. It was a million degrees inside the room and I had to sleep with the window open even after turning off the heater.

Lovely historic place. Only stayed 1 night. Had room with bath only. Had I stayed for more I would have preferred shower. Still. A very unique experience and very clean!! Excellent location!

Superb location and seemed clean. But creepy vibe. It’s technically up to scratch in hotel basics, but it’s weird, dilapidated, abandoned feeling. I booked for the 17th-century appeal, but found the whole experience offputting, if not downright uncomfortable.

Perfunctory 'welcome', reception the only nice part of the building. It is from 1700's so expected wonky floors etc, but shower fitting had been hanging off the wall for some time, soap container by sink empty, wallpaper peeling and lots of tatty decorating. Grossly overpriced

I am appalled by the response my partner has just had from this hotel. My husband has had this hotel booked since last year and we were looking forward to staying here in December (although after our recent call, we abruptly cancelled the booking) My husband is registered blind and has just been matched with a guide dog. Out of courtesy, as officially, it is against the law to refuse a guide dog as it is a service provider, he rang the hotel to let them know the situation and check it would be ok. He was then told by the member of staff ‘no we don’t want a disgusting dog here!’ Completely disgusted by your lack of customer service and your discriminatory approach to someone with a disability. We have reported you to the necessary authorities and hope that nobody else receives your absolutely shocking level of customer service.
