The Oxford Townhouse

Terrible. Upon arrival we were greeted by a king and accommodating owner, which was great. My card was declined through ***********, which it never had been before, making me wonder what % they take from bookings, and why the owner wanted to avoid this. We then went up to our room, which looked completely different (and much worse, in comparison) to the photos provided. The majority of amenities listed on their TripAdvisor page were not there. The room was noisy and filthy. The shower would not drain due to not having been cleaned and the shower curtain was dirty. There were spots of black mould on the ceiling. The furnishings were covered in dust, the painting rushed and patchy. There were screw holes throughout the walls and the sheets had stains on them. At 0030am, the fire alarm sounded and I had to reset it once the fire brigade were on our way. The owner, on the phone to another guest, said “oh, that happens here”. Very little apology was made and little respect was given. I expected a full refund due to the abysmal experience, but there was nobody in view when it was time to check out. Avoid this property if you value cleanliness, manners and most importantly, sleep.

Easy to book, lovely rooms and nice breakfast. Secure parking at rear and complimentary soft drinks/ tea/ coffee in room. Quality shampoo and shower gel in the on-suite.. staff ver friendly and helpful. On line booking in/ out which was very easy

Recently visited Oxford with friends, 2 night stay at the Pear tree travel lodge excellent value, did a 30 minute boat trip from the Folly which was very nice, used the tour bus very good and included a 30 minute walking tour (optional), had a excellent meal at mogali and drinks on the roof top terrace at west gate shopping centre, fantastic views, breakfast at Browns cafe in the covered market really good. Great weekend spoilt only by dreadful service and food at the Ivy one to avoid .

From it’s smart exterior with the secure gated private car park, to the clean and well presented, welcoming bedrooms, through to the delicious breakfast, this establishment will make you glad you booked. My daughter and I stayed for one night as we were visiting the city. Our stay was fantastic and frankly it would be hard to find fault. Little touches such as fresh milk in the bedroom fridge and a wide choice of hot beverages in the room were great. Not forgetting the personalised chocolate cookies - yum! There’s a bus into town literally right outside the door which really helps as Oxford is not a car friendly city and parking is extremely expensive. If I could add one tiny thing it would be a box of soft tissues in the room. We will definitely return !

My daughter and I stayed here after a day of hiking the Thames Trail. While we were at dinner, the owner of the hotel entered our room without our knowledge. He later admitted that he had done so. I noticed several of my English pound currency was missing from my wallet. Also know that from the minute you enter the hotel, you are being videotaped. The owner is rude and a liar. If he later reads this, he will say it is untrue. That is of course what liars do. Keep yourself safe by NOT STAYING at this hotel.

We visited the Oxford Townhouse and stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful room everywhere spotless. They were operating on a Covid scale so reception limited, this was not a problem. Everything thought of! Only had to ask and things were replaced/renewed towels milk teabags. Breakfast brilliant. The staff were lovely especially helpful was gentleman on reception so sorry didn’t get his name. Can’t recommend this enough as long as you like a short 10/15 minute walk into the town which we enjoyed. Will definitely return here 😁

We had an extremely comfortable stay here in July 2021 - couple of nights city break. Paid for a superior room, and it was lovely and spacious and really well designed, and super-comfy. The air-conditioning was great, and an absolute necessity in the heatwave! The bathroom was also nice and roomy, again very well designed and stylish. Super toiletries too! Breakfast was lovely, really good. We appreciated the secure car park too, an added bonus. Rob the Manager was extremely helpful with recommendations - I emailed him a lot prior to our visit and he was always very accommodating. Good location just a 10 minute walk from the main stuff in Oxford. Definitely highly recommend! Oh - and the homemade biscuits were a really nice touch, and very delicious!

獵鷹酒店很容易找到，房子後面還有一個很便利的停車場。我們的是經典大床房-我推薦這個，我們的朋友要了經典雙床房，比我們的小多了，房間非常乾淨舒服（非常舒服的床墊），提供很多飲品-茶，咖啡，熱巧克力，水，可樂和雪碧-還有一些美味的餅乾！酒店距離基督學院走路只要大約12分鐘。早餐超美味-選擇種類很多，質量很好。我極力推薦這家含早餐的酒店。
