화이트 하우스 뷰 게스트 하우스(White House View Guest House)

This place was chosen by my daughter for two nights, while she was in oxford for school. An older man approached her inside the location and demeanor to know if she is single. My daughter decided no to stay in this place, due to safety concerns, however she was not refunded, and management didn’t seem to care, and ignored completely her concerns. Please avoid this place.

White House View Guest House cancelled on day of arrival, did not clearly communicate if they only cancelled the first night or the full booking. They did not offer help to find other place. So, I had to pay 3 times more in another guest house. Rude and unprofessional.

Good location for exploring Oxford. Staff friendly. Room smelled strongly of damp/mildew. En suite filthy, mouldy. Soft furnishings like throws, bath mats smelly. Unacceptable! Would not recommend anyone staying here.

Room was just fine, basic, but just what we wanted for overnight. Its a short walk into the city centre, so great location. Parking might have been tricky, but we used Just Park for 2 full days at a hotel just down the road and it cost £12. Breakfast was not available, but plenty of great places in Oxford, so no problem there.

Great Place. Had everything I needed.

I chose this because it was 10 minutes walk away from where we were meeting family. First off, there is no parking on the street(residents only), but the owners gave me directions to another guest house (they own?), where I could leave the car. It was about 3/4 mile down the main road, but we managed to unload our luggage first. The owners were very friendly, we had a key for our room and a code for the front door. Because of Covid they weren't doing breakfast, we just had teabags, coffee sachets, milk etc. But for a small price they could have included something else - energy bars, crisps, etc to replace the missing breakfast. The room was tiny, bathroom tinier, but neat and clean, if a bit dated. We had a trumpet player next door practising scales, but thankfully it didn't go on too long. Our tea and coffee were replenished and bins emptied while we were out (thanks) but we didn't see the owners again before we left. Overall, it was a pleasant enough place to stay, being so close to the centre of Oxford and quite reasonably priced.

Obsoletely appalled. Was woken up at 1.30am in the morning by a homeless man entering my room. The homeless guy had a key to the room, I was told that someone on Monday didn't return there key. When I complained, I asked why the lock wasn't changed and they had no reason other than they didn't know he would come back. I was advised that they change the combination to the front door on a regular basis but they clearly don't as they didn't think to change it when a key wasn't returned. I would not recommend staying here as it is not safe!!!!

No communication, room late, no breakfast which said was included. Room was fine but bits broken off bed, lights didnt work and no friendly welcome when arrived. Cheap rooms but will not be staying again

Location was great, very short walk into Oxford centre. Parking info wasn't great, most of the nearby area is permit holders only, would have used park and ride if we'd have known. Cleanliness very poor. General upkeep was also very poor, outdated decor, en-suite was in desperate need for some maintenance. Check-in poor, we were called earlier in the day to confirm the time of our arrival but still had to wait around for an hour once we arrived.
