Arrived after many hours of travel and jetlagged. Check-in was smooth. The room was comfortable. I slept away my jetlag and was refreshed the next day. Paul is friendly. I had a lot of questions about the area and he was very helpful. The location is excellent, easy walking distance to most places, bus stops close as well.

I needed a room as my planned accommodation pulled out last minute and I had an exam to sit early in the morning at Oxford Brookes University. I knocked on the door to be greeted by Paul’s lovely wife who said if I looked online I would be able to see availability. Lucky for me there was a single bed option that was ready for me by 2pm. Paul send through a messaging asking if there was anything I needed to make my stay more comfortable, he was able to provide an extra blanket, a kettle, selection of teas and a robe for my comfort. Great stay for the price and good walking distance to the university. I would highly recommend.

The room was very clean and had everything needed for a short stay. Prior to my arrival Paul contacted me to ask if I had any special requirements, which was very thoughtful. The shower water was soft. Paul, the owner could not have been more helpful. Close to the shops, restaurants and hospitals. I would recommend.

Stayed for one night and it was perfect. Everything was very clean. The host, Paul, was very friendly and recommended some great places for dinner. The guest house is close to Oxford Brookes University. All in all very convenient.

A cosy, but spacious guesthouse, well-located for Headington, and a very helpful host. He provided tea and coffee as requested, as well as useful information about the area. He responded to requests for help very quickly. I would recommend staying here.

Excellent location for those needing access to local hospitals. Welcoming, spotless and comfortable accommodation for a good price. The owner, Paul, thinks of everything and more. Highly recommended.

Paul is exceptionally accommodating. Each stay is personalised and the room/bathroom is spotlessly clean. Very comfortably nights sleep. Easy walking distance to Oxford city centre, or plenty of bus options of required. Perfect for visiting any students staying near Headington campus. Highly recommend and will definitely use again. Booking direct recommended!

I stayed at Sandfields whilst visiting Oxford for friends' wedding. The guest house is only 2 miles from Oxford City Centre and there is a regular bus service (£4.50 will get you an all day ticket). There are multiple pubs, restaurants and shops within 5 mins walk, although one should avoid The White Horse. My host Paul ensured I was well looked after. He provided information leaflets that helped me get around the city and of course local knowledge. I was able to pre-order teas and coffees of my choice. A comfortable mattress and and a fierce shower were the topping. I will return. Thank you for making my stay a pleasant one.

This was the second time I have stayed here this year as really close to my work m. Different room this time, but excellent same service. Beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Great parking, great location- excellent service.
