I could nearly give a 100% excellent rating to my stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the service was great! Upon arrival, my husband and I discovered our bathtub drain was slow-draining after we showered AND our closet door was broken and hanging cockeyed on its hinge. We told the desk clerk about it and then left out for a few hours--and when we returned later, found that both problems had been taken care of 100%! So the staff did an excellent job! We ate dinner one night at the hotel restaurant and found it to be very affordable with a pretty decent selection of yummy-sounding and interesting dishes. We were not disappointed--everything was quite delicious! It was a great culinary experience! The only problem we had--and it is a big one--was with the pillows on the bed. They looked big and fluffy but as soon as my head was on one, it sunk right down to the mattress. No support at all! I piled 2 pillows on top of each other and still it was VERY bad! I truly did not get a decent night of sleep in the 4 nights that I stayed there, because of the truly awful pillows! I kept rearranging and fluffing them throughout each night to no avail. My husband had the same experience. Please get some decent/quality pillows on your beds, Holiday Inn--they are so very important to a good night of sleep. If not for the pillows, I would give the Holiday Inn Orlando East a "100% great in every way" review. But I can't--the pillows were hard to deal with and cost us very valuable sleep.
