Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

This was my first time ever staying at this resort. And I guess I just expected more with the price that I paid. I stood in line a bit waiting to check in. I was so excited to stay at his resort. There was no big welcome. My room wasn’t ready, so had my luggage stored. After getting tired from the parks, I thought I’d check to see if my room was ready. My room was ready, but I was given an ADA room. So I went back to the front desk to see if I can get a regular room. It took awhile to change rooms. I thought having a room with the view of the water was going to be great—then I realized after going on the balcony that there were mosquitoes. And two mosquitoes must have gotten in my room. Thank goodness I was able to kill them. I had placed my Do Not Disturb sign on my door because I didn’t want anymore mosquitoes in my room. But then I get a call that there had to be a room check. I got this call in the middle of a nap. They must have checked my room while I was out. I did like the location of my room being close the the boat launch to the Magic Kingdom. My room was comfortable and spacious. There were no souvenir pins of the resort. I collect a pin of every Disney resort that I have stayed. I am unsure if I would stay at this resort again. I have received even better service when I stayed at the All Star Resorts.

We ended up moving to the Grand Floridian for the last two nights of our stay after some unfortunate experiences at the Four Seasons. We stayed in a renovated 'Mary Poppins' villa room in Big Pine Key Building. The Service: Exceptional. Our bags were whisked away upon arrival (no one assisted us at the Four Seasons arriving or departing) Ross at the front desk was amazing. The fantastic service made such a difference. The Property: The grounds were pretty, but you definitely do feel the age at the hotel. We didn't use the pools, but they were more crowded, and maintenance staff was much more visible here. (One day, we saw someone using a leaf blower to dry the lobby carpet.) Gasparilla Grill was consistently amazing, and we loved the mobile ordering experience. The Room: I preferred the view at the Grand Floridian. It felt much more relaxing. The Four Seasons room was definitely more luxurious--softer linens, towels, a walk in shower compared to tub shower at the Grand Floridian, however it was quite bland and beige and definitely not worth over 2x the price (at least for us). The Mary Poppins touches and adorable chandelier had so much charm at the Grand Floridian. Even with the renos, you can still feel the age of the building, but as we were planning on spending most of our time at the park, it was more than fine. Transportation: Monorail/boat access was awesome. We went back and forth several times. It is such a convenience when visiting the park (especially with kids). The shuttles to Disney Springs were also really easy to navigate and had frequent departures. The incredible service and monorail access really made this a win for us. If we return to Disney for a special holiday event, we will likely head to the Polynesian (prefer the fun decor) or the Waldorf.

We had a fabulous time at the Grand Floridian for our first trip to Disney World. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable, and overall the staff is excellent. You also can’t beat the location/convenience to the Magic Kingdom. Side note… get Genie+. This vacation is already not inexpensive but the extra $20/day/person saves so much time and really allows you to plan your day around rides you want to go on. We were able to do 7-8 rides per day while only spending 3-5 hours in each park. It was awesome. My only knock on the Grand Floridian is we found the Club Level Concierge not very helpful. Almost every request we made for reservations, etc was just directed back to using the app to do it yourself. Would still highly recommend the hotel.

Went for a Birthday dinner at Narcossee. Food was amazing and service was excellent. But the valet attendant Micheal saw my mother had a hard time walking and he went out of his way to make things easier for her.

My wife and I had have stayed at most of the Disney properties and ultimately chose to stay her during an adult trip. It did not disappoint. I have largely avoided this resort due to the price, but I was blown away by this resort in just about every way. The room was fantastic, spacious and an awesome balcony overlooking the lagoon and MK. We were located on the top floor, which I highly recommend. The pool was awesome. It was quiet, and had a nice little bar. The restaurant options here are the best in Disney, and sometimes just sitting in the lobby listening to the piano player was just an amazing experience. My wife and I loved the Enchanted Rose, an awesome adult hangout. Finally, the monorail is so convenient. Love the proximity to Magic Kingdom. I can’t say enough about this resort. I would stay here again and again. While it’s certainly expensive, even by Disney standards, I’m not sure I would rather stay anywhere else and felt I got a lot for my money. A+++

Staying here right now in a 2-bedroom villa… fantastic hotel amenities, great room. Condition of the room are perfect. Service horrible!!! Just came from 8 days in Kidani village, whilst villa was more outdated the service was impeccable. No one in reception, no one picks up the phone in guest services… it simply does not make sense to have such great amenities but such poor service. Definitively not Disney Standards.

We recently stayed at the Grand Floridian with a check in on Saturday, April 20th and check out on Sunday, April 21st. We had stayed at multiple Disney properties over the years, but never at the Grand Floridian. This hotel is supposed to be the top Disney World hotel on the property, with prices for rooms around $900 a night; comparable to a night at the Ritz or even the Four Seasons. Unfortunately, there was no comparison. We arrived early and had our luggage stored. Upon receipt of our room being ready at 3:00, we proceeded to our room. After 3 phone calls to the bell service and guest relations, we finally spoke to someone, who informed us that the wait time for luggage was anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes. We proceeded to go back to the entrance of the hotel to retrieve our luggage ourselves. When we were getting acquainted with our room my husband called down to find out about water for the coffee machine in our room. He was informed that we needed to fill the coffee machine with the bathroom sink water. That is totally unacceptable again for a $900 a night room. We proceeded to the pool and waitied 45 minutes watching a server spend the time with one family and then disappeared. We ended up getting our own drinks. The next morning we proceeded to Citrius for breakfast. My husband ordered steak, over easy eggs and toast for a cost of $21.00. The breakfast arrived with one hard flat egg and an over easy egg, steak and no toast. It took about 10 minutes for us to notify someone, at which time I already had finished my breakfast and his was cold. We did speak to Vicky, a manager of the hotel about our concerns before we checked out. Again, this hotel does not reflect the service a guest should get at a premium hotel but that of a budget hotel. Even a Super 8 gives water for a coffee machine. As a Florida resident and a Disney stockholder, we were very disappointed and definitely not book this hotel again, when there are many better options. As of today it has been over 2 weeks and we still have not heard from anyone at Disney even though we emailed corporate customer service

My fiancé and I got the privilege of experiencing the Grand Floridian Spa last week. Upon entering the Grand Floridian resort, you take the first right hand turn. There is a parking lot right behind the building and a very short walk to the front entrance. We were pleasantly greeted by the front staff. Since we were getting a couples massage, they had us each pick a stone that called out to us and place it in a small greenhouse in the lobby. They explained which each stone we chose meant. My fiancé was a bit concerned because the day prior he had almost thrown his back out and was in quite a bit of pain. He didn't want to skip the massage, but he also didn't want his back to be more messed up because of one. We voiced our concerns about it, and they were very accommodating. They also added on a soothing balm service that he really enjoyed and said help with the pain of his lower back. He liked it so much, he wanted to purchase some, but sadly they didn't sell that particular product. Wendy and Robert were our masseuse, and they were amazing. They knew this was our very first massage ever, so they were especially excited for us. Throughout the massage they kept checking in to make sure the conditions were right and there weren't any issues with pressure, etc. I especially liked the use of hot towels throughout the process. I loved the other amenities that were included at the spa. They had a waiting area with spa water and a few light snacks to munch on. They also had a sauna, hot tub and heated lounge chairs to use. The locker room and bathroom were also fully stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, mouth wash, etc. When they give you the tour in the beginning, they make sure you know that should you need anything that you cannot find to please reach out. You are given a plush robe and slippers to use during your stay, as well. The service and amenities here were absolutely top notch. I don't have one negative thing to say about the space or my experience, in general. My fiancé and I have decided that every trip going forward is going to include time at the spa. I am so excited to continue to try more of what is offered at the spa.

This is the worst service and relacionshipma hotel has with the heat I fave a diaabiliyu son and they don’t care AA thing this is dis eu where dreams come true really desapointed with the staff and they only work like robots are not people any more they lost the love that Disney represented I come to this hotel since 1987
