Very Pleasant stay. Place is centrally located - 5 mins away from the bus and train station. Staff are fantastic. Property is a bit old and is decent value for money.

The resort is good. But it is located bang in the middle of the town which makes it noisy. Once you step out of the resort the town is filled with garbage and overflowing sewage. Being close to the commercial area, the only advantage is more food options if you want to dine out of resort, but believe me you are best being at the resort as the town is destroyed beyond imagination. Coming to the resort, it is standard club Mahindra, nothing more or less. A couple of things to note - 1) The rooms are a bit smaller than others 2) Not all rooms have views, there are some rooms with just a corridor and facing other rooms which I thought was unfair. At a hill station rooms with a view com***d a premium and you could have allowed guests to choose the same at the time of booking. I booked as soon as the booking opened and got a room without a view, and when asked they told me it was randomly allocated. I felt shortchanged on that count. 3) Dont miss the cycle tour. It is the best happy hub activity. It takes you away from the commercial centre to outskirts which is enjoyable and pleasant. 4) The food is good though the menu could do with more variety. Ooty, being the home of vegetables could have had more fresh vegetables on the menu. They separated the Veg and Non Veg items on the buffet which was very nice. 5) Drinking water is a bit of problem. They give in some flask which i was not sure how clean etc. i stuck to bottle water purchased. In ooty 1 lit and 2 lit water is not sold. Only 5 lit cans are sold. So take a spare water can with you. In the Club mahindra ooty derby green resort, I booked a cycle tour with Mr Akshay Kavi sir and the experience is just amazing. Both side nature ooty lake tea plantation area and much more.... Worth it at least once. The tour is for like 2 hours but they have electric cycle so there is not much need to peddle the cycle plus he will guide you ***** with historical knowledge.

Club Mahindra can never disappoint you. The resort is just like any other Mahindra property, full of greenery and well designed. The restaurant here is one of the best in Ooty. The location is awesome as it’s right in front of derby ground. So if you are lucky and it’s a race day you can witness it tight from the resort garden like we did. Do take the ebike tour( long one) its better than any sightseeing in the city and you wouldn’t need to do any sight seeing, our guide was Akshay and he is amazing, has a lot of knowledge about each place.

Ebike tour in derby green is always a cherished trip . An excellent adventurous trip to see historical places and lovely ride to know more about ooty.. This Wonderful ebike tour experience pushes us to visit ooty repeatedly.. Akshai was very friendly, supportive and understanding... He is an amazing photographer also.. A serene resort to blend with nature , excellent maintenance , and Staff pampered us with good food and service. Akshai from holiday activities took us on Ebike trip, it was a lifetime experience and he is an amazing photographer giving us wonderful memories.

Our stay at Club Mahindra has always been pleasant & so was our stay at Derby Green. The courtesy for the same goes to the ***agement & the resort staff. We stayed in HUK room which was quite spacious to accommodate family of 3. Housekeeping was up to the mark. We throughly enjoyed the bonfire in chilled evenings which was there for all 3 nights of our stay & the evening activities hosted by Mr.Shumik & his colleague ( from travel desk). The food spread for jain food could have been better. The most memorable experience of our stay here was the e-bike tour by tour guide Mr.Akshay. He was so well versed with history of Ooty that even 3 hours of tour were not enough to know about this Queen of Hills - Ooty. He took us to heritage sites & gave brief history at every site & clicked lovely shots too. We would have missed something if we had not opted for it.
