A budget-friendly hotel for a short ski week-end. Simple but correct rooms, spacious and newly renovated, very calm and centrally located. Great breakfast with many options, I have loved their fluffy butter croissants. Many thanks to Oriana for a charming and guest-oriented service!

Beautiful property and excellent staff. Cecilio was especially outstanding. The location to the village is great and it was nice to have access to the Villar Palace space and gym. Highly recommend - Matt G.

I wanted to give the same 4 stars that are on the entrance door, but sadly no. Its a really nice, pleasant hotel, don't get me wrong. Rooms are spacious, and comfortable, although no fridge or water kettle present. The corridors remind of student dorms, rather than luxury hotel. The food in the main restaurant (breakfast but also lunch and dinner) is excellent. Full credit for that, and for the genuinely welcoming staff. But the gym boasts one broken elliptical (and the other drops pieces when used), and a single torn treadmill that users run on at their peril. And its not open early, when most users would use it. The venues are lovely, the bar and lounge are great. Just needs to up its game to deserve all four stars.

Having previously stayed in chalets for our family ski holidays (our son is now 9) we felt a hotel would fit our needs better for our 5 night stay. I found this hotel on the internet, booked direcetly as it offered the best price. We did our own transfers from Geneva airport using the train, then changing to the tram in Bex, the hotel did point out before arrival that the train to Aigle then the bus was slightly quicker, but we prefered the tram option. This was all easy to book on line with the swiss train network and is much more cost effective than a car/taxi transfer. Our was around £150 return for the 3 of us. We also booked our ski pass, ski hire and our sons ski lessons directly on line, the hotel did offer on our arrival but I'm sure it would have been at a premium. On arriving at 2pm our room wasn't quite ready, as check in was from 3pm. But this did give us opportunity to collect our ski passes from one of the automated machines using the QR code, and collect our hired skis from the shop next to the hotel 'Sports House' who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has ski lockers for your boots and skis Once checked in we took our suitcases to our room, (there wasn't an offer of any help) having been up since 3am and clearly looking tired! Our room was a superior double (single beds pushed together) and a camp type bed for our 9 year old son. I had read that some found the hotel noisy, our room was on the -0 level just 1 storey high, so nobody above and hardly and passing people so it was perfect and quiet, other than party goers coming home at 2 am most mornings (not the hotels fault) The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Strangley in the lobby/wardrobe area it had a fabulous tiny kitchen with a microwave, full sized undercounter fridge, hob and sink. There was 4 plates, bowls and cutlery but no kettle or pans. We used the fridge to cool the water etc. I would be lovely if they included a kettle, but I guess they want the spend in the hotel not people making tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was delicous, and a good choice of hot/cold. The ski lift was a short bus ride away, the bus stop just outside the hotel, so easy to get to the lifts. We ate out at local resturants all but 1 evening when we ate at Peppino's, the pizza was very nice indeed. We had hot chocolates in the hotel bar on two occasions, and got overcharged on both occasions, until I pointed out the error. We used the swimming pool 3 times, it was lovely to swim after a day on the slopes, the hotel provided dressing gowns and towels. Our room was cleaned each day by the time we got back in from skiing, we did end up with a huge amount of towels, they left clean but never took used away! The hotel loaction for the village is excellent, a few minutes walk to the local resturants and the co-op. We didn't really have any negatives on our trip, we knew it would be expensive to eat out, and it was. The cheapest item on most menus, pizza or bolognese was arou

We checked in to a room that had no sound proof for all, you can hear everything, including breathing. I have 2 young kids, couldn’t sleep because next door were screaming and ********** for over 1.5 hurs and I complained 3 times, finally front desk did something. Of course everyone in the room can do whatever they like but we shouldn’t able to hear them all, especially for my 10am 12years old kids. Next morning I asked the hotel to do something about it, no one really cared. I asked again in the evening, finally we had a new room. For the 7 nights stay, our room was cleaned 3 times with no shower cup, vanity units either body lotions. I complained, but no one did anything about it. The worse hotel ever, I don’t believe the hotel cares about any of the feedback.

I really enjoyed my week here. The room was huge and my view from the third floor was beautiful of the main Villars town below and the mountains beyond. The focus is on sustainability so the rooms don't have a bunch of disposable amenities, which is great. The room had a pretty large private balcony with seating so it was nice to be able to spend time outside when you got to your room for the evening. WiFi was fast, rooms were cleaned first thing in the mornings, and you have to request/note for new towels and sheets (that's the sustainability part) but service was awesome, super friendly and available. I am not sure if there's a pool, was too busy to look but would make this spot complete. This is really a great value for location, amenities and comfort!!

Recently attended a conference and was extremely pleased with the level of customer service and accommodations. With my late arrival, the receptionist still had a smile on her face and patiently walked me through all of the information on the room, conference, and events. The room had a great view, was very clean and updated with nice touches. The location was perfect to different events from hiking, mountain biking, and golf, that it would be a welcome retreat for anyone wanting to get away.

Wonderful hotel in Villars. Located walking distance to town and to the ski slopes. Breathtaking views of the Alps. We had several excellent meals at the Italian restaurant. The recently renovated rooms are large and filled with modern furniture. Once the hotel's renovation is complete, this is a five-star hotel is all respects.
