더 화이트 호스 인(White Horse Inn)

I was a little apprehensive before staying as I usually book chain hotels as they do exactly what they say on the tin, but I needed somewhere close by and last minute. The pictures looked fine online but you never know until you’re there. From the front, the grill restaurant looks modern but the accommodation was in the car park to the rear and was slightly dated on the outside. Check in was easy and the man in reception (presumably the owner) was very friendly and helpful, carrying my case up to my room. He did this for other guests too. The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfy. You can tell they have really tried to make this place as good as it can be. My only complaint would be low pressure in the shower but I managed and I have long, thick hair. I ate dinner in the restaurant and again I wasn’t expecting much, due to previous experience of mass produced food being disguised as ‘homemade’ food. But it genuinely was, and it was very tasty and extremely reasonable in price.

Excellent recently updated hotel, bar & restaurant in the village of Balmedie. Rooms are very nice & clean. Reasonable price. Restaurant food is great. Warm friendly staff. Will definitely be back.lots of things to do in the village as well. Highly recommended.

Amazing 2 night stay at the White Horse. Mario went above and beyond during our stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better host. The room was tidy and the bed was comfy. We ate breakfast both mornings. Mario remembered our order from the day before and took it out straight away! We also ate in the restaurant one night and I can highly recommend the pate.

I redound this hotel when the new owner took over ,what a find . Safe comfortable and friendly. Will keep staying when I am in the area.

Had a lovely meal at the Whitehorse last night, scampi and the burger was delicious. staff were very friendly and it was busy didn’t have to wait long for our meal. Highly recommend this place. Mario you’ve done well. Many thanks

At the hotel for a wedding. Rooms were nice and quiet, breakfast was lovely. Clise enough for a walk along the beach

Very helpful host and staff. Rooms were good and the food choice and quality was good. Let down by the breakfast arrangements. Breakfast/bar area was locked at 0700-0715 when myself and another guest were trying to leave. Nowhere to leave the room cards, so just left.

The white horse inn staff are brilliant, very friendly and always happy to help. They have a good bar and restaurant! The hotel rooms are nice and clean with very comfy beds. I would highly recommend staying here!
