two nights here on the second leg of our sardinia trip. we arrived around 16:30, i think, and there was nobody there. the missus made a call and somebody arrived to let us in about twenty-five minutes later; check-in felt a bit hurried. later, after we returned from an evening out, we couldn't get back into our room, so another phone call required. in fairness, she arrived within about ten minutes and explained that we couldn't get in because we'd left a card in the power slot, so we could charge a phone; strangely it was just one of the cards that did this, and it was fine the other way around. as a positive, this was probably the nicest room we stayed in and had a small balcony.

Love! Love! Love this hotel!!! Great location across from the giant Ferris Wheel & park- so beautiful at night. Easy walk from/to the train station & in the city center of Oblia near restaurants & shops. The reception staff is over the top wonderful and the hotel is gorgeous, clean and grand. I travelled alone from the US with 2 little dogs who will tell you Grand Hotel President Oblia has the best dog beds EVER! We all so delighted our stay at this hotel.

We did not actually stay at the hotel, we booked it for 4 nights, but when arrived it was not suitable for a wheelchair user. But we feel we had to let people know how understanding and helpful the man on reception was. He telephoned Booking.com and explained our situation, whilst offering my wife and I and hot drink. We cannot thank him enough for his help, hence the 5 star rating, he is a credit to the hotel.

We stayed a night here in October, we got there close to 11 pm and found a place to park the car on the street. Check in went smoothly, friendly staff, clean room, A/C and wifi. There were two outlets that allowed an adapter for US to EU electrical plug ins, the rest of them were too small. Toiletries such as soap and shampoo were provided. The A/C worked well and it is a quiet hotel. It is a good value for the money, plain and functional. I thought the sheets were scratchy but we stayed in four hotels during our stay in Sardinia and they all had rough sheets and blanket. The person who checked us into the hotel mentioned breakfast was at 7:30 in the morning, but when we arrived for breakfast at 7:30 we learned that it did not start until 8 am. We had to leave before 8 am so we asked if we could take some food with us and the person working the desk brought out a plate of different croissants and yogurts for us to eat on our way. One odd thing was that I received an email the day before we arrived stating that we should check in no later than 10 pm. Our flight was delayed so we arrived after 10 pm and I was worried that we wouldn't get checked in, but when we arrived later than 10, they were there to check us in.

I wish I could give this Hotel 5*'s I really do, however before I get started on the Hotel and our experience I would like to say Valentino, Monika, Valeria and Lisa you deserve 5*'s and I'll explain within this review as to why!! My brother and I had a very warm welcome and were shown to our room, very nice indeed however it would have been nice to be told about the Construction working happening next door as we had scaffolding in the back terrace, rubble and other work materials. I walked out onto the decking to go down to the seats and part of the decking came away, i nearly fell down the stairs (i've had knee ops and dont want another!!) I raised this issue to a lady at the desk who apologised and assured it would be fixed the next day, nobody came to fix the step so I am not sure if this will be fixed. We had noticed bugs around the refrigerator and raised this to Valentino who dealt with this matter in a professional manner, he looked into finding some repellent and when he could not he arranged for us to move rooms the next day! His communication was fantastic and he went out of his way to make sure we were okay, and that we were happy with everything. He made other staff members aware. The room we had moved to was a lot better than the first, we did have the building site next door still however the balcony was a safe area. Every morning we went down to breakfast we were greeted by Monika who is a bubbly individual, she went out of her way every morning to see if we were okay or if she could anything for us. Conversation was very polite and welcoming (Thank-You) We decided to try out the spa which was very nice and peaceful, good facilities and good choice in different treatments. We had been shown around the spa by a lady who explained it all well but failed to comment on footwear.... I specifically asked about my flip flops and was told to leave everything in the changing room, i asked about the lockers and she said no I had to leave them on the bench (we dont get lockers) including my flip flops. My brother was just in socks, he came down in just socks so surely something would've been said? No. Near the end of the spa I slipped on the floor and damaged my foot and knee, if it wasn't for my arm opening the fire door my foot would've gone through glass! As mentioned before I have had 3 knee operations, I am in need of 2 new knees at 25 and would never put myself in any danger of causing more damage! We saw people walking around with flip flops and some without. I went to tell a member of staff where Valeria tried her best to make the situation better. I was disgusted at how I was treated at the top desk Valentino tried his best to make sure I was okay and the lady with him did not really want to fix the situation, there was no offer to reduce our spa payment, or even our massage treatment for the next day, they basically told me I had to wear flip flops even though I was told not to wear them!! (I have a witness and would not risk

There's nothing much more you can say about Hotel Panorama deserving of a distinctive 5-star establishment! The location is prime two short blocks from Corso Umberto, the pedestrian commercial street of Olbia akin to Rodeo Drive of Hollywood, Fifth Avenue of Manhattan or Via Montenapoleone of Milan. All of her staff are very friendly, particularly Fabio, who always say Buongiorno or Buona Sera to everyone... and I mean everyone! The rooms are immaculately clean, the en suite bathroom is sanitized well, the buffet breakfast is quite good for Italian hotel standards with hot scrambled eggs, delicious mushrooms, soft boiled egg, tomatoes, cold cuts, hot beverages such as espresso, capucchino, americano coffee, tea and cold beverages such as different juices and milk, cereals, yogurt, different breads, etc. and the lady that serves you in their dining room is friendly and efficient. Other perks such as a rooftop deck with a 360-degree outstanding view of Olbia and the bay area and a small gym across the building. Most of all, you feel very safe walking around during midnight and beyond as the locals are quite friendly! If you go to Sardinia or entire Italy for that matter and don't visit Olbia... then you'll miss a whole lot of enjoyable travel experience!
