Can't beat the location. Views from the balcony was stunning. Clean, safe, no frills. Staff were really really nice and helpful. What a great start to my holidays. Oh, and not too far from Oistens Fish Fry.

Nice Place

Stayed at yellow bird hotel from the 8th to the 12th of June. Customer service, bar and the pool was 10/10. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping was there everyday. Will recommend if anyone going to Barbados

Lovely small hotel looking over st Lawrence bay Staff helpful and really friendly Room immaculately clean and cleaned every day ,towels changed etc Great shower and very large comfy bed The manager is lovely we were a big group staying in 4 rooms celebrating a birthday one morning the manager let us get together in the restaurant with a birthday cake providing plates etc and played birthday music for us They then left a bottle in the room for the birthday person Lovely touch Staff were happy to advise and help with all the questions we had as it was our first time to Barbados we had many The hotel is in a great position at the start of the gap so lots of bars ,restaurants and beaches in walking distance ( turtle beach in so pretty ) and constant buses to get you to anywhere else you may wish to go Car park at the back Every room has the most beautiful view of the bay from the balcony the higher up you are the better One morning we watched a turtle swim round the bay and a monkey in the tree opposite The pool was always quiet with free sunbeds We had a late flight home and were able to stay round the pool all day and use the shower room before leaving Will definitely return we all had the best 2 weeks

We stayed at the Yellow Bird in April when we came to Barbados for our honeymoon, and we knew to expect good things based on the previous reviews, however this hotel blew us away. It’s in a perfect location with beautiful views of St Lawrence Bay from every room, and ideal for heading out to the bars and restaurants. Every single member of staff made us feel so welcome, everybody is so friendly and caring, when you leave you feel like you’re leaving friends behind. The Yellow Bird was perfect for everything we needed, chilled delicious breakfasts, a calm base within walking distance to top spots and a bus stop on the corner for those further away places, and exceptionally clean rooms. I unfortunately sprained my ankle while in Barbados, but having the staff cheer me on, smile with me through the pain and encourage me with each day how it got better made it seem not quite so bad! This was our first time to Barbados and the Yellow Bird but we will absolutely be back! We could not recommend this hotel enough.

This was my second stay at The Yellow Bird and, again, it was wonderful. Its position in The Gap is ideal, opposite a small bay and within easy walking distance two beaches and all the restaurants. The rooms are large, with a nice kitchenette, comfortable beds and lovely balcony. Everything is exceptionally clean and the restaurant food and drinks are excellent and good value. But what really sets this place apart is the amazing staff. From reception, to housekeeping, restaurant and maintenance, they all go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Special shout outs to Monique, Michelle, DeShaun, Sophia, CarolAnn and Anderson. Thank you for all of your help and care. If visiting Barbados, then this is the place to stay.

From arrival to leaving everyone was friendly the room was spacious and clean and comfortable reception couldn't do enough helping us to book excursions we had a room on the top floor so noise level was absolutely fine a bottle of wine was left in our room for my birthday which was a lovely gesture because rum cake and a fridge magnet was in the room on arrival we had the best time in Barbados and would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone definitely a birthday I won't forget thanks to all staff at the yellow bird

Really nice small hotel with amazing water views. Staff at front desk are extremely accommodating and helped us with booking a car rental as well as a catamaran boat trip (which was great as well with Tiami). Thanks Monique and all for a great time. As others may have mentioned the hotel is near bars which can have loud music on busy nights. For us, Friday was the louder day. Not a big deal for us, but something to be aware of. The hotel does have a relationship with the bar and can ask to turn the music down :)

We have started to stay at the Yellow Bird in the last 3 years. Its a great hotel that offers everything you need. The room has cooking facilities, cooker, microwave, kettle and full size fridge, and coffee maker. The bedroom is tastefully decorated and suited to the beautiful Caribbean ocean front view outside your patio. We have stayed on the upper floor, and this time on the lower floor. My husband prefers the upper floor as he can have a nosey outside. The onsite restaurant is very good, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinners there. The staff are welcoming, and kind and we see the same staff on our return visits and have made friends. We always receive a warm welcome, and know must of the staff by first name. we would like to thank Sonia for keeping our room so clean and Laurel. Reception staff Dashawn, Monique, Michelle for welcoming us with a beautiful smile. Jamal & Kofi for helping us with our luggage and maintenance in our room. We can't forget Sherelleanne, Lisa, Carolanne, Justin, Sydney, Audley, Peddrina & Tia. The staff make the stay more enjoyable, they are full of advice and recommendations. The hotel is located close to restaurants, bars and beaches. You can walk to must restaurants, bars and beaches. We felt very safe walking to and from bars late at night. We look forward to our return visit soon.
