The lobby was updated and nice. The rooms were old, bed uncomfortable, shower/bath old. Looked like Marriott bought an old hotel, renovated the lobby and put their name on it, then franchised the property.
The bartender in the lobby was rude. Refused to sell us a drink at 9pm because she was done with her shift, there were 5 other guests waiting patiently and she just left. The front desk clerk ended up coming over and taking care of all of us.
The night before check out, manager approved a late check out. My daughter was at a swim meet, we came back to the hotel at 11am and they locked us out of the hotel room. The front desk clerk told us we were checked out. We told her we have a late check out approved by the mgr. She said the room has already been cleaned. Asked her where is all our luggage? She said I don’t know and called hskpg. 25 minutes later the housekeeping supervisor comes to the front desk, speaks no English, disappears again. 15 min later my 15yo daughter goes up to the floor where our room was, our friends were staying next door. Maid walks by and lets my daughter in our room with out asking for ID. To discover NO THE ROOM WAS NEVER CLEANED, and the rest of us still in the lobby waiting now 45min for the front desk clerk and hskpg supervisor to get their stories straight. 1. We didn’t get the late check out as promised. 2. Front desk clerk lied to us about room being cleaned. 3. Housekeeping lets ppl in rooms with out asking for ID &verifying it’s their rm.
