Great property, amazing service and fantastic hotel. Everything was amazing for one of the nicest boutique hotels we've ever stayed. We were in the Canada room that came with an outdoor jacuzzi, perfect for a nice cool night in December. Look no further if traveling to Oaxaca

My wife and I had an absolutely outstanding stay at the Origen. Our room (Papalauban?) walked right out to the pool area. The pool is quite small but conducive to socializing with other guests. Great way to have the afternoon creep into the evening. The restaurant there is fantastic. Great breakfasts and dinners. I had paella one night and it was as good as one will get in Spain. And we went to their sister restaurant just around the block - Entre Lenos - our final morning there and it was really great, as well. But where the Casa stood out most of all was the service. The front desk could not have been more accommodating. And shout to servers Jorge and Isiais - they were magnificent hosts. This was our only time in Oaxaca, but I cannot think of anywhere else I would stay for a visit. Yes, it's a ride into town, but the peacefulness and beauty and service are perfect.

Best place for a calm and high classy stay in Oaxaca. Beautiful design, great rooms, and a fantastic restaurant. We loved the room with our jacuzzi, the serene/calm neighourhood and the fabulous service of all employees. Thank you Casa Origen Team for making our stay in Oaxaca an absolute highlight.

After a lot of searching we found this hotel as it looked like the best hotel in town, and it was. Really nice welcome and the rooms are excellent. Very spacious, well appointed and the bathroom was great. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly and the breakfast was great (although not included FYI). We had dinner on our terrace one night and the food was great, the only downside was they ran out of the wine we liked. the hotel organised airport transfers and they were great. Job and his family were great and became our drivers / tour guide for the holiday which was great. Whilst the hotel is probably a 20 min drive (c£10 trip), it was very easy and Job would come and collect you at the end of the night too which was very handy. Definitely recommend staying here in Oaxaca.

We just returned from a lovely stay at Casa Santo Origen. The setting was serene; the rooms were comfortable, clean and stylish; and the staff were amazing. If you are looking for a boutique hotel that's a bit removed from the center of town, we would highly recommend this property. This is a relatively new hotel just outside the center of the city. There are only 8 rooms. The staff is lovely, very warm and helpful. The restaurant has very good food and the cocktails are better than most you will find in the city center. The property and the rooms are all beautiful. We had a very relaxing stay, and we recommend this hotel very highly.

The location is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is really good too. We loved the attention to detail in everything, from the interior design to the saltwater pool. We also got great recommendations for a day trip to the surrounding villages. Best hotel experience so far! We're impressed and grateful.

I don’t know what else to say other than this: Hotel Casa Santo Origen is the single best hotel we have ever been to. Our room was stunning — and had every comfort and luxury you can imagine — the food was extraordinary and the service was impeccable: Manuel and Carlos at the front desk went above and beyond to take care of every request we had. Isaias at the restaurant was so lovey and also the most accommodating, especially when we had some traveller’s sickness. As two Americans, whose Spanish is terrible, and have never been to Mexico, we could not imagine having a better hotel experience. They arranged taxis for us everywhere, which was a breeze. They organized activities for us. And their advice on what to see and where to go in town was perfect. Again, this is the single best hotel—beautiful, delicious, luxurious, and extraordinarily accommodating—we have ever been to. We will be back!

Santo Origen was the perfect place to escape the crowds of Oaxaca center. You feel at home the moment you walk in. Our room was quiet and big, with a nice bathroom, and a terrace with a beautiful view of Oaxaca center (suite Mixteca). We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Special mention to Carlos, at the reception, who helped us with everything even before our arrival, restaurant reservations, car service etc. He was excellent! Speaking of car service, Caleb who drove us during our trip was a great addition to the whole experience. Ask the reception for him instead of a taxi. Price wise won't make a difference, and he has a brand new car and was very professional and pleasant. Both, Caleb and Carlos made the difference during our trip. Don't doubt to stay at Casa Santo Origen if you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful place where to stay in Oaxaca.
