베이 브리지 인 오클랜드(Bay Bridge Inn Oakland)

I stayed here with not high expectations. I only needed a bed for a few hours of sleep before a predawn departure, and a warm shower. The bed was quite hard, but the sheets appeared clean (unsure about the bed spread). The shower stall looks new and there appear to have been other recent upgrades too. Although this room is a non smoking room now, the strong stench of stale smoke still lingers.

The WORST customer service and the level of stupidity of the receptionist/owner was way beyond anything. Room was disgusting with blood, pus stains on the bed and floor. Shower, sink, bathtub all got molded and disgustingly stink. Alert: BED BUGSSS! The room smells like someone’s been dead in there, filthy!!! DO NOT come here at all cost!!!!!

Clean, very quiet, easy parking, excellent mattress.

Decent motel and a fair price, but the Internet was not working during my stay and that was very inconvenient for me.

Was turned away at the front desk for not having a credit card instead of my debt card. Was told it was written in their policy yet found no evidence of this on the ******* website. Was then rudely asked to leave the parking lot as I was searching for alternative lodging. Would NEVER suggest this place.

It wasn’t the roach, they are part of warm climates. It wasn’t the neighborhood, (Daytime is ok but sketchy at night). It wasn’t the desk, he was nice. It wasn’t the lack of hand towels and blow dryer or other amenities listed in the description for the two queen bed room. It wasn’t even the 2” gap under the door which we filled with newspaper. Although the linens were clean and the mattresses were covered in protective allergen mattress encasements, the pillows inside the cases were not protected and were stained and disgusting, but the biggest issue was THE SMELL. At first we thought that someone had forgotten to flush. That wasn’t it. The smell of old sewage was overwhelming. We turned on the fan. We sprayed Febreze. We opened the window. We wore our masks. We had come in late at night after 10 hours on the road but by early am we left in a hurry. The desk refunded our money for the second night we had reserved but the smell was in our nostrils and stuck there. We were nauseated for days.

Don’t stay here on Saturday night if you want to sleep. The hotel itself and service was nice but unfortunately they have residential neighbors that blast music from 5pm-12am. Ear plugs won’t help and I’m on the deaf side. This has happened twice in the last 3 weeks. Won’t be staying here again

Great value stay, would stay again anytime.
