La Grande Villa

My humble request never ever visit this villa , they show us something in pic and inside is different, and particularly if u are AC user please note there is no AC and room is so small and suffocated and we can’t open door bcos there is too much mosquito even if u come from other cold regions u might need AC atleast

Quaint, cosy and comfortable 5 bedroom bungalow nestled in the cool breezy hillside of Nuwara Eliya. The property offers delicious meals, made to order by chef Rizan. Staffers Sam and Samanthi were gracious, efficient and constantly willing to help. My husband &I are visiting from Canada and spent 3 nites here to escape the heat of the city. Gorgeous property we will definitely return.

We stayed in this hotel for one night during our stay in Nuwara Eilya. Well located, just 15mins walk from the town centre, it is a well managed and friendly hotel. Check in very friendlynand efficient, with a fresh pot of tea and biscuits served during the formalities. Room is very spacious and well equipped. Our bathroom even had a full whirlpool bath! Breakfast is excellent, served in the dining room. Highly recommended!

I spent 24 nights at the wonderful La Grande Villa in Nuwara Eliya. During that time, it became like a home to me. In addition to the lovely rooms and the beautiful garden, the staff really went out of their way to make me comfortable. For health reasons, I require a special diet, and once I explained it to them, they were more than willing to accommodate my needs. And while all of the staff were great, the manager Mr. Insar was absolutely wonderful. He helped me with so many practical things, such as arranging my return train ticket to Colombo, as well as advising me about local sights - as well as explaining local customs and thinking to me. He even taught me about the history of Sri Lanka. By the end of my stay there, we had become good friends. I will forever remember the many talks and laughs that we shared. Finally, he is also a very good manager who keeps the whole operation running smoothly.

Trip to Nuwara Eliya, was the shortest visit. We were received with great hospitability and the food was excellent. We would definitely return for another stay and recommend other people too. The villa manager Farhan, and chef looked after us like family and made us feel comfortable... Subhashini and family.

The service of the hotel is extremely personalized and outstanding. The staff is very attentive and effecient. The kitchen is very good as well. Every staff member at the hotel goes an extra yard to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Really wonderful view and the food was amazing.Great place to stay with perfect for relaxing.A true mix of comfort with nature.The climate is so cool n Relaxing. Great place to stay with a mountain View in N-Eliya.Overall satisfied.

Situated right in the middle of Nuwara Eliya, La Grand villa is a charming, cozy hotel. The service was excellent - ably led by its Manager Insar. We enjoyed the food as well. There is ample parking, and a lovely garden to rest and relax.

What a lovely hotel! This should be 5 star rating for sure. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, and the bed was SO comfy. We also had a fantastic and huge hot tub/bath. The main gentleman was SO friendly and helpful, he really made such a difference to our stay. The location was also great. We only stayed one night and we didn’t actually plan to visit Nuwara Eliya but I’m so glad we did. Thank you! Highly recommend!!
