A beautiful Hotel in a Breath Taking landscape. I was disappointed that i could not see the northern Lights. But overall, it is an experience one must experience at least once in a lifetime. I'm hoping I can visit again and that too in the peak of winter - Jan / Feb...

Nicest hotel in Nuuk. Large, clean room. Small bath. Comfy bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Little coffee bar in lobby. Two restaurants with delicious food. Bountiful breakfast buffet. Huge grocery store across the street. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in the centre of Nuuk the check in was fast and most efficient and I was impressed as it was only 10am - my room was on the 3rd floor and all the restaurants are on the 5th floor - and these are first class - the B/fast offerings are very good as is the Fish Restaurant- this while a little dated a very good quality hotel where I would be happy to return

They just seemed a bit disorganised. We had paid for a Polar Room and about two hours after we arrived two housekeepers came to put the Polar "special items" in our room. Well, of course by that stage we'd opened up our large suitcases and had stuff everywhere, so the little treats, slippers and robes and things didn't look quite the same in the room as if they'd been there when we arrived. Our room was way at the end of a hallway and they kept leaving the cleaner's trolley outside our door. The room temperature could not be altered so it was quite stuffy. Breakfast was ok. I was able to get decaffeinated coffee one morning after much explanation about what decaf was, but the next morning, no-one could understand me, nor could they find the coffee bottle I'd used the day before. My husband became unwell on the Friday afternoon and we must thank Kasper on the front desk for trying to help us get a taxi to the hospital. No taxi came though, and we eventually just stood out on the street and got one ourselves. Nuuk is a small town and the taxis did seem to be busy at that time of day. Across the road are a couple of supermarkets, a small shopping mall (the Nuuk Center) and some eating places, very convenient.

Nice clean rooms, except for floor to floor carpets. Only few tv channels in a complicated operatable tv. Comfortable beds. Need to run hot water long in upper floor in early mornings. Good food and wide variety served both on breakfast and lunch, except NO ORDINARY TEA AVAILABLE! Maybe all consumed and leftovers remaining. Helpful staff at front desk.

My wife and I stayed here during a recent trip to Greenland. We liked it a lot and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is ideal. There are several good bars, restaurants and high-end shops within a block or two of the hotel. Most of the major tourist sights are within a 10-20 minute walk. The front desk personnel were very helpful and spoke great English. We were able to get early check-in which was a blessing as we were traveling on minimal sleep. Our room was nice and we had access to several English tv channels. We also received complimentary snacks that were very good. Their breakfast buffet consisted primarily of cold items plus a few hot ones. Everything was high quality. We also had a great lunch at their restaurant Saraflik. The only problem we encountered was when we left for the ferry by taxi. We had scheduled a taxi in advance through the hotel as did several other people. The taxis were late and no one knew which taxi was whose. Not sure if the confusion was the fault of the hotel or the taxi company but it was a bit of a mess. At a minimum the hotel should have a standard policy for matching the taxi with the guest (e.g. name or room number). Notwithstanding the taxi chaos, the hotel is a great choice for downtown Nuuk and I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and central hotel. It’s fifteen minutes by taxi from the airport and five minutes by taxi to the ferry harbor. It’s steps from all the shops, museums, cafes and restaurants. Service is friendly and helpful. WIFI good and free. Room clean and very warm. We had to open the window to sleep with radiator at zero. Excellent laundry service. You pay DKK 60 for one kilo of white or colored laundry. DKK 60 per item to wash and iron. Leave laundry at reception by 9:00 am. It’s back by 2 PM. Pick up the laundry at reception. Only service irregularity was our bin hadn’t been emptied. And we only had one set of towels. These issues were quickly remedied. The breakfast buffet is very good. In the evening the restaurant is a turf and surf restaurant, but vegetarians can get something to eat at the Thai next door or Cafe Esmeralda.

Most important thing is that you have internet access in Nuuk. Old fashion hotel, with no renovation. Quality of sleep average, old furniture, but clean. Breakfast is fair. 15 minutes to the airport. Can't obtain the no dark concept for sleeping.

I stayed here for three nights after being trapped in Nuuk by a flight cancelation. This is a nice hotel in the heart of downtown Nuuk. The staff, from the front desk to the bar and restaurant, were very pleasant and really accommodating. One woman at the front desk really went above and beyond in liaising with the airline that cancelled my flight. I truly appreciate the effort. I would definitely stay here again.
