리우 바야르타 올 인클루시브(Riu Vallarta - All Inclusive)

Where do I begin… a few ups and a few downs. The cleanliness of the property is great (especially in your room). Towels/pillows extra request is a MUST. But other than that phenomenal cleaning staff. The food itself has taste, and can definitely satisfy anyone’s mood for that evening. However, like most RIU’s they’ve gone away from the reservations. But that wasn’t the case. We were declined twice from the steakhouse. Once at 645pm & another at 7pm due to “reservations” meanwhile we’d constantly see empty tables.. don’t know what that’s about but that was a FIRST! When we finally got a reservation at the steakhouse we saw the man writing down who was taking names telling some “Oh we booked till tomorrow” while also allowing certain individuals inside… again a FIRST! The property isn’t bad. Plenty of pools. But you better save your towels for the next day because at 8am it seems as if EVERY SPOT IS TAKEN WITH TOWEL/SHIRTS it’s ridiculous. Hogging seating areas just to say that’s my seat while others would prefer to tan/be by the pool. So go early and reserve your spot! On another note - Rui Vallarta should strongly consider changing its name to Rui De Retirement. If you’re under the age of 40 don’t come here, I’d strongly advise not to as this is Boomer Central & if you want to enjoy time with your grandparents or want to reminisce moments with loved ones who passed. Sure come they’ll tell you all about the Great Depression and World War 2.

Beach was beautiful. Swim up bar is fun. The food was subpar. 6 of 12 people got sick. 3 of which stayed in there room for over a day. I would spend my money elsewhere

Great place to stay with family, friends and solo. Lots things to do, access to the beach where you can find more things to do (horse riding, kayaking, parasailing, etc). Tour guide in the hotel would offer any tours for a better deal then online. We used “Greyline” Louise for tours, he is at the hotel every day until 11am. Great food, no mercy, lots of fresh and tasty food. Not to say you always have a Bar in room. The stuff is very nice and helpful. The entertainment is very professional and fun. This hotel is situated next to another RiU hotel, so you can walk or a take a shuttle bus to next door hotel for more entertainment like White Party is the best we have been, very impressed. Would definitely recommend this place and love to come back again in our future trips to Mexico.

The front check in personnel did not help in accommodation of extra days or to make changes whatsoever to a reservation. Poor lobby service

This property was extremely crowded. The food was not as good as other RIU properties where I have stayed in Cancun. The staff in the main restaurant did not seem very attentive when it came to refreshing your coffee.

Beach is beautiful. Food is good. Safe environment. Staff is wonderful. Service was lacking on the beach for drinks. Long lines for drinks. Need more staff. Servi bar was supposed to be filled every other day. We had ours filled 1x in 7 days. Overall a wonderful trip and the good far outweigh the few negatives

Our stay was good, food was acceptable not great. Service and Hotel were nice. Our only complaint was the amount of horse poop on the beach. We brought that up to the horse rental owner as well as hotel admin but nobody did anything about it. They just passed the blame on to one another. The horse poop smells and with the wind blowing from the beach it gets to hotel guests laying on the beach and on the hotel lounges on the beach. It's sad that nobody did anything about it.

Loved each hour of our stay. Shoutout to the staff in charge of the entertainment throughout the day. They keep everyone moving, having fun with plenty of activities. There are plenty of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Snack options by the pool. One more shoutout to the bartenders! Rooms are nice, stocked with beverages as well. All the pools are nice, beach is lovely. Spa is a little on the expensive side but overall very good service. We made this trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the hotel made sure to send her a personalized desert and a card to our room. Which I thought it was very good attention to detail. Overall; wonderful! Thank you!

The facility is nice and the staff take good care of you. The beds need replaced and the pillows are not wonderful. Unfortunately, one problem with the buffet are the tremendously ignorant guests who eat at the buffet line and use their fingers to grab food, lick their fingers, then grab food again. The staff tried to remedy the issue but it is hard when you have rude swine eating there. Only other issue is it is not extremely accessible for persons with mobility issues. There is an elevator that gets you close to ground floor but it broke one day making it difficult for my mother to navigate the stairs. Otherwise all 5 of us had a great time.
