We had a great time in this amazing log house with breathtaking views. Yvonne was very caring host who had thought of everything you could want. The room was large, nicely decorated and well appointed. The breakfasts were fantastic, we ended taking homemade cake away for later. I would recommend the Spirit Lodge to anyone wanting to visit Silver Star.

Spirit Lodge is the absolute perfect location for a ski vacation in the Vernon Area. We are Nordic skiers and spent every day just 10 minutes up the road at Sovereign Lake Nordic Club. Just a quick 10 minute drive down the well maintained road and we were in downtown Vernon sampling the dining options. The Lodge is self is very peaceful. The entire lodge is spotless with a lovely assortment of indigenous art work. All furnishings in the common area and the rooms were spotless and clean showing no signs of wear or tear. For a couple who are highly active during the day Spirit Lodge was a welcoming retreat in the evening. The breakfasts were varied and all delicious. We are not typically breakfast people, but you'll find yourself eating every bite of the yogurt, granola, fruit, savory or sweet main course. We often skipped lunch. No review would be complete without mentioning our hosts - personable but not intrusive, friendly and sincere. I hope they keep this up for many years to come, I'm already day dreaming of my next visit. P.S. the pictures (as amazing as they look) simply do capture the grandeur of this log cabin lodge.

We loved our stay! It was superb; we were thrilled with everything: Yvonne's warm welcome, our beautiful comfortable quiet room, relaxing hot tub, delicious breakfast that Yvonne prepared and served beautifully, the spectacular log lodge, its artwork and view location in the big-tree forest above Vernon. We appreciated our hosts' attention to a myriad of details.

What an incredible stay we had here, there are not enough words. The hosts Brian and Yvonne excel at hosting and creating a friendly home environment. Yvonne was such a sweetheart and checked in thoroughly throughout the trip to see if there was anything they could do to make our trip the best. ALSO the breakfasts - be prepared to drool, they were superior quality and quantity. Seriously miss waking up to the gift of home cooking every morning. We went for my Mum's 60th and they were both very kind to make sure to wish her a happy birthday and make her feel like a birthday girl. I was beaming! They have a lovely golden who lives there and Autumn is soooo sweet. The location is stunning with views that will make your jaw hit the foundation. The home itself is also stunning and gives such a perfect oasis for our ski/birthday trip. I really enjoyed the separate entrances to each bedroom too. We Berry's cannot wait to go back and plan on making it an annual trip.

Spirit Lodge is spectacular and the owners (Yvonne & Brian) are as wonderful as could be. The log house is magnificent -- as is the phenomenal view from inside. So much room to lounge, with a big fireplace in the livingroom, a hot tub, and very spacious and comfortable guest rooms. Breakfasts were equally fantastic and filling -- no need for lunch when Yvonne is cooking breakfasts! Great variety of foods too, over our 6-day stay. The resident pet ('Autumn', a golden retriever) was a favorite of ours too -- and super well-behaved. The location of the lodge is also perfect; around 10 - 15 minutes to both the cross-country (Sovereign Lake) area and downhill area (Silverstar). Vernon -- fun little town with some good restaurants was around 15 minutes in the opposite direction. My wife and I highly recommend Spirit Lodge. You won't be disappointed!!

We had such a wonderful stay in Spirit Lodge! The atmosphere of the house is unique, above our expectations. The spirit of the house and their residents is so relaxing! Yvonne made us feel very welcome. We stayed 2 nights, with every morning a delicious breakfast made by Yvonne. We loved the view, the hot tub, the pool table, the boardgames and puzzle. The bed is very good, the sheets are the softest I have ever felt!

Our stay at The Spirit Lodge would have been an unique and beautiful experience under any circumstances, but our trip began on a very unfortunate and distressing note, and the hosts went out of their way to help us feel safe, comfortable and welcome. The view, decor, space, atmosphere, and meals (great home cooking) are all first rate. We are extremely grateful for the efforts our hosts made on our behalf and for the recuperative qualities of the stay itself. The Spirit Lodge will be our first choice of accommodation when we return to Vernon in the future. Remember to bring your swimsuits as the on-deck jacuzzi is something you don't want to pass on.

Simply fabulous on all counts. Room was great, bed super comfy, breakfast was super, hosts are amazing and the view is out of this world. The log chateau is a work of art. Most amazing stay and quite reasonable. We'll certainly be back. 10 out of 10!

The lodge is beautiful and comfortable. Our room was spacious with an amazing view. The setting is amazing. The breakfast was fabulous! Best of all were the people -- our hostess Yvonne, and the other people who were staying there at the same time. We highly recommend Spirit Lodge!
