스쿠너 랜딩(Schooner Landing)

Not sure what all the bad reviews were about, but our stay here was great! The unit was impressively clean and tidy and our parking spot was right in front of the unit. Although the view was partially obscured by a set of stairs, it was still gorgeous and if we stepped outside and two feet to the left it was unobstructed.

This place has gotten shabby and outdated. Unit was clean and bed comfortable but needs painting and updating. Window blind broken, light bulb out AND there is no pool, no hot tub, no clubhouse, no pancake breakfast or activities of any kind as advertised. Most units do NOT have an ocean view and even though the building facing the ocean was mainly empty, I was not allowed to move there because those units were not owned by WorldMark, so I got a view of the backside of the office parking lot.

Entire 'resort' is failing with no visible evidence of maintenence. There is no clubhouse or pool. They are not down for repair or construction. There is no access to the beach due to severe erosion but no signage. The unit had no wi-fi. There was a jetted tub but the jets didn't work. The cable TV controller only partially worked and there was no guide. Everything (roof, siding, carpets, plumbing, stairs, etc.) appears to have not been maintained for many years. Paint is chipped and peeling. Moss and lichen are growing on roof and siding. Staff is great. They are very friendly and helpful but they can only put lipstick on a pig.

Dry nice inside the condo. Very comfortable and had all wended i. The kitchen. Property need much attention and upgrading.

I'm looking for a future place to "get away" and Schooner's Landing showed up in my search. Wow, talk about false advertising. There's still a pool and club house listed which is NOT TRUE. I can understand that nature can take its toll with the erosion that is going on, but has there been a plan on how to try to secure the ground and prevent the loss of more of the buildings. The maintenance is very poor, for instance the units that are still inhabitable have moss growing in the gutters causing rain to be diverted down the siding and causing rot!

No mention in WorldMark updates or anywhere on line that there is major construction on the grounds. No pool since 2019. No hot tub. Laundry in an out building being used by the construction staff, and you have to pay to use. Closet door fell off in my hand, band aid was holding the door pull in position. The fireplace fan rattles so badly that it's unusable. NO PHONE in any units! Wi-fi had only 2.2 maps, so only 1/4 of the listed channels came through,and made it impossible to use Comcast or a firestick. Place isn't quaint, it's shabby and the rooms and furniture stink! World Mark needs to dump this place -- not worth my dues!!

Very nice two bedroom condo, well equipped and comfortable. However, no view of the ocean and the outside of the buildings need some maintenance. The ocean takes its toll in this area.

The only good thing about this resort is the ocean review. If you don't have a unit with a review that would be horrible. Most of the amenities listed are no longer available. Wif is awful and the tv is not much better. The carpets are stained and the outside of the buildings are shabby.

Newport Oregon is amazing we cannot say the same about our stay at this location to be nice I will just say we would never consider this place again and definitely do not recommend! SADLY this was a horrible experience for our first time to Oregon. RL
