My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of Newcastle when we dropped into The Cumberland Arms Pub. It's a pub that offers accommodation but we were here only for a drink ,the pub itself is fab,it's a Victorian era pub, great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden, its a cosy well run pub. We ordered pale ale's, served in excellent condition, we soaked up the sun in the beer garden while sipping our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good ,a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of toffee and a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish, a classic British pale ale indeed. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to The Cumberland Arms Pub we were totally impressed. The Cumberland Arms Pub is easy to locate on James Place Street, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.
