The Motel is old and tired. People seem to be living in some of the units. The staff didn't provide any information on our arrival, such as having to book the pool. The 'heated' pool was absolutely not heated. It was freezing. One of the kids lips turned blue. I had extended our stay for an extra night through the app but they didn't have any record of it and forgot that I had paid for 3 nights ringing me to see if I was leaving after two nights. The rooms were clean and mostly tidy. However the bathroom lino was starting to pull away from the floor and the light switches in one room were faulty and didn't get fixed during our stay. One of the internal doors wouldn't close. Great location for being able to walk to the garden and explore town. Noise levels were fine for being next to the main road. Wouldn't stay here again as the price of the room didn't reflect the low standard. Sadly they weren't interested in asking us how our stay went and simply took the keys and said thanks and goodbye.

There was no airconditioning and the heated swimming pool was freezing. A lot of outside traffic noise due to location.

Very 80s retro! I really enjoyed the relaxed vibe. Very close to food outlets, city centre, Pukekura Park and the sea - each way is a 10-15 minute walk. Cheap and cheerful 😄

The size of the rooms was great, 2 bedroom with kitchen. But the rooms weren’t clean, surface clean only. Sheets on bed were clean. Staff brisk in manner rather than welcoming, no discussion about things to do in area, just ‘here’s your key, we have already charged you cc’, didn’t offer information on where to park until asked. Didn’t offer any information on pool, which appeared to be locked the whole time. Street noise wasn’t a problem in our unit but with single glazing would be loud in the road facing units. The photos do not reflect the current dated state of this motel.

Unit was comfortable clean . Only thing we found were ants in the kitchen bench and bathroom

Raewyn at the reception was very kind and caring, also liked the hot indoor spa pool a lot. The room does catch a bit of noise as the place is located in the middle of the central and right next to one of the busy roads but other than that everything was good. Very nice location. Didnt have a car during the stay and it was totaly okay to look around the central.

Location was central to everything. Supermarkets and eateries within walking distance. Parking was great. Property is a bit old fashioned but was very clean and comfortable. Road noise was noticeable but lessoned later in the evening.

What a beautifully presented place to stay. The owner is so helpful, friendly and welcoming and the room was beautifully presented with its own kitchen. It was so cozy and warm. Location was really good too for walkers who like to explore walks. Very handy to the coastal walkway. And for Mac Donald's fans, it's right across the road. Highly recommend the Amber Court Motel.
