We recently stayed at Bienville House and booked two rooms for our family. The staff was one of the highlights of our stay—everyone we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
There were a few drawbacks, however. When we arrived, one of our rooms was not ready and still needed to be cleaned, resulting in about an hour wait. We also booked a Sundeck Room expecting some type of view, but unfortunately our room overlooked a wall. The rooms did not have a microwave, which would have been convenient for families.
Housekeeping could have been a little more thorough, as we found candy wrappers under one of the beds. In addition, the water pressure in one room was fairly weak.
If you're driving, be aware that valet parking is at a sister property, so plan on waiting approximately 15–20 minutes each time you need your vehicle.
Overall, the location and outstanding staff made for a pleasant stay, but there are some areas where the hotel could improve, particularly with room readiness, cleanliness, and setting clearer expectations about room views.
