Stayed here with family for 2N - had booked 4 rooms - 111, 114, 203, 204. Well the rooms are good in general - would have given a 4 star rating but few things are shoddy which brought down my experience quite a bit(2 star), though helpful and courteous staff like Ms ***isha at reception salvaged few things at last .. so 3 stars is what i settle at. This hotel has gone an ownership change and is now Hotel Palm Grand. As you enter the hotel, the reception area is nicely done - big and clean with ample sitting space. You do find the owner roaming around asking for feedback which shows his commitment towards the hotel. Coming to the rooms - rooms are decently sized (both superior and deluxe categories) and comfortable though they definitely need more maintenance - ownership change is not apparently accompanied with much renovation in the rooms where one can clearly see signs of aging. The faucets in Bath/Rest rooms are rusty, showers do not some time work. Airconditioner in two of our rooms stopped responding to the remote - and it was not a battery issue. Their are few mysterious switches in the room that you cannot find out the utility for and they have lesser number of charging points for your devices. TV trays in some room are missing nuts and bolts - Can fall very easily and will definately break as they are made of glass On the positive side Bed Linen is clean, washrooms are clean as well and there doesn't seem to any water supply/clogging issues, The bed is comfortable and rooms provide you ample space to store your luggage. Room Rental is decent on your pocket too. - These are the basics you need in any hotel where you wish to stay Food They do have a restaurant and full strength of kitchen staff - but these guys seem to work properly only when the hotel is full to the brim - like when you have wedding parties in the hotel booking 10-15 rooms together. Else they seem to shut down the kitchen service and instead reluctantly take your orders and outsource it to roadside shacks outside the hotel. Day 1 - we went down to the restaurant for our breakfast buffet and the staff there initially refused to serve us saying the food was booked only for the wedding guests - When we complained at reception, it was only upon the intervention of Ms ***isha that we were served breakfast! . Now this breakfast was freshly made poori sabji, sandwitches, tea/coffee/Juices etc - and all of them were pretty delicious. Day 2: Wedding party checked out. Restaurant was locked up. We ordered Paranthas(Indian Stuffed bread) for breakfast and after following up for almost 2 hours, what we got was absolutely cold and clearly something which was brought from outside. We ordered sandwitches instead - the hotel guy gave us absolutely stinky sandwitches made from a couple of days back and stored in refridgerator - the kitchen ***ager accepted this while apologizing but i still wonder why the heck were they storing stale sandwiches ? - and to mention, we did hea
