Location is good. There was some water leaking that made floor carpet wet.

Good location and clean place

Rather standard motel, with good A/C and a large bed. The room wasn’t sufficiently clean as we found a discarded prawn on the floor under the bathroom vanity and there were hairs on the floor and in the bathroom. The sheets had holes in them (although the bed was comfortable) and the room was large and generous, with a big balcony too. No breakfast included, restaurant wasn’t even open in the morning and it felt like we just got milked for the fact it was high season. The level of service and standard of cleanliness while not being directly bad did leave a bit to be desired.

We were allocated room 109 which had a faulty detector which constantly made loud clicking noises through the entire day and night which made it impossible to sleep. Air conditioner constantly leaked and had quite clearly been that way for quite sometime as carpet beneath was damp and mouldy. Room smelt as the mouldy when you enter the room. Shower screen surround on shower floor was mouldy and dirty and quite clearly had not been cleaned for ages. One Star rating!!

This is an old hotel that is reflected in the carpet and furniture. The room we were provided faced out to the pool, but our room had no privacy window netting/curtain. As the window provided the only natural light into the room, we either had to have the curtain open and have people looking into our room or close the curtain and use electrical lighting.

Basic accommodation. Pros: good location and wifi. Cons: Checked behind bed for PowerPoint, very dusty behind and under the bed. Only one bed lamp. Air conditioning was very cold and could not be adjusted. Balcony was very small, just over chair width. Reception was due to close at 6.30 but closed before 6 when we returned before 6 so my wife didn’t have to climb two flights of stairs from the car park. Bar fridge had no shelves in the door and the one shelf in the fridge was cracked. Good location but in need of upgrading. As it was holiday period not much else available. For the price $240 per night it was not good value. Perhaps the apartments are better than the motel rooms. I would check other places next time if visiting Nelson Bay.

Property is ok but disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, needs a really good scrub to remove black mould.

Cleanliness was good Carpet and facilities in room not so good Room given was very noisy as pool filter kept running all night and balcony was dirty and trees was your view

Property was located 4 minutes from Nelson bay city center so was convenient. The room itself smelt musty and was dirty, 2 used towels had been left hanging on the balcony and a large canvas had fallen off the wall and was laying on ground in the corner - not well looked after at all. Staff member was polite, restaurant attached was nice.
