수리야 아라나(Suriya Arana)

This is a great place to stay in Negombo. The location is very good and convenient. The rooms and hotel facilities are great with all comforts available. There are some superb views in certain rooms. A great pool at front and meals available with dining available near pool, in gardens or indoors. The staff were quite friendly & helpful with all things and led well by owners Saman and Judith. Judith is involved with preparing the great meals that can be ordered. Saman runs a tour service and can assist with guided tours and trips. I did a short 3 day trip that include train rides in the Hill country, Elephant and wildlife spotting, and whale watching.

A very quiet and comfortable place to stay. The hosts stay in the property and are very hospitable and helpful in every way. It is in very close proximity of the beach and the beach road, where you can get a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. The property has a good swimming pool and wifi offerred to its residents. Homemade food is available on order. Breakfast is included in the stay. The staff was very co operative and property is very well maintained. I happenned to stay in this place for 20 days. It was very comfortable experience for me. The hosts provide a personal touch to the experience. Looking forward to visit here again next time.

Excellent place to stay in Negombo, a little oasis, especially either at the beginning or end of trip to Sri Lanka. Beautiful cool rooms, lovely pool in pretty garden. Great location near to the beach. Very tasty home-cooked food cooked by Judith served beside the pool. Taxi service to airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Throughly enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable bed with excellent air con. The rooms are large with flatscreen television and English channels some with movies. Staff are attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast is outstanding and to be quite honest the food in the evening is better than the restaurants that we had tried some evenings, they are passionate about quality and flavour. Judith and her Husband are very welcoming Hosts and make you feel at home. Nearly forgot the pool which is revitalising and perfect for a mid morning soak. We are now just about to carry on our travels but will return when flying on to our next destination

I ended up here by coincidence as I had nothing booked in advance. Was very welcomed by Judith and her husband and both gave me great recommendations, for example for Ayurveda treatment. Also Saman took me to the fisherman’s village, which was an authentic experience. The dinner which Judith cooked for me was fantastic.

Very nice place, beautiful and clean rooms + pool, and very nice hosts and staff. Owner took a lot of time to help us with travel schedule and has a lot of experience with planning travels too. Overall great experience! The food is also very good.

After our wedding, as our first honeymoon stay, my wife and I stayed at “Suriya Arana” Homestay, thanks to Judith and Saman. I can vouch for this lovely place and moreover for the lovely people. Especially Judith and Saman who are the owners of this lovely property. They treated us with such love and care in their hearts. To be truthful, we feel their warmth in our bones. Judith and Saman are veterans of the travel and tourism industry with years and years of experience. Once you step into their lovely home, you are in safe hands. Whilst keeping their friendliness all the time, they showcase their professionalism in their service delivery. When it comes to the rooms, they are absolutely fabulous, and I don’t have enough words to explain the cleanliness, comfort, and unique beauty of the rooms. We stayed in the Luxury Suite if I’m not mistaken. The room is spacious with a living area and a bathroom with a bathtub. I had a bad stomach, Saman was kind enough to give me one of his magical tonics, which contains plenty of herbs. It worked like magic. Thank you so much, Saman🙏. When it was time to say goodbye to this lovely couple, it was really hard for me and my wife. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. We are really indebted to you from the bottom of our hearts. Your service and the quality are exceptional.

Very nice hotel and it is also close to the airport . Lovely helpful owners , we were served a great seafood platter . Clean rooms and nice refreshing pool . Perfect start of our first day in Sri Lanka ! You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes, which is beautiful

We returned to this hotal after about 12 years it has been improved and has a pool .Judith & Sam,and the lovely boys are very helpful and kind .We loved our two week break here.We seem like friends amongst these people now.Thank you so much to you all ay Suriya Arana!!!
