소조 호텔(Sozo Hotel)

We had a fabulous stay at the Sozo Hotel. Amazing location and a very interesting church conversion. Great breakfast and the extended breakfast time makes for a very leisurely dining experience. The staff were amazing , very friendly helpful and accommodating. On check in the receptionist went over and above in giving us detailed information on the city , restaurants and places of interest to visit. Amazing stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone and hope to return soon.

Small but charming rooms. My only suggestion would be there need to be outlets on either side of the bed, besides the one the lamp plugs into that requires moving the bed. Hotel is right across the street from the jardin which is a lovely morning or evening walk. Staff was wonderful, great shower, would definitely stay again.

A most interesting architectural project and it was good to see photos and plans on the walls detailing the conversion. The shower had a slippery floor (when wet) and there are no grab handles. The interior of the shower door had no handle to close it.

The Sozo is a four-star hotel built in a converted 19th century chapel. I paid extra to stay in one of the top floor rooms with the stained glass and vaulted ceilings. Room amenities included robes and a Nespresso machine, with coffee, tea, bottled water and biscuits refreshed daily. This hotel also has a lift, so it is perfect for people with physical disabilities. The concierges are functionally bilingual. There was a hand written welcome note on my bed which was a very nice touch. The Sozo is across the street from a large botanical park which is also a thoroughfare to other parts of the city. It is a five minute walk to the train station and tram line, and there are a number of places to eat in the immediate area. I recommend the Sozo for the experience, service and location.

The ambiance and atmosphere was indescriptible. An atypical experience pushed by the kindness of employees which make everything to make our journey unforgettable. The room was beautiful and clean, the Spa area is great and the session was very calmful.

The stay was great, the room was very cute with a castle-look like. Some perks were added, and the staff remembers everything even small details after seeing you one time. The only negative was the lack of electric plugs near the bed. There is one, but it was not easily reachable.

What a great idea to build a hotel in a former church. The design aesthetics are hip, keeping a lot of the vaulted stonework. The location ideal, next to the beautiful city botanical gardens and is a few minutes walk from the main train station where you can also take the airport shuttle. Cafes and restaurants are everywhere. We had the Temptation room and although the room was a little small, the interior window view facing some of the upper stained glass panels was really cool and opened the space up. The bath area was nice and had a window you could open for natural air. Should we come back to Nantes, this would be our number one choice to stay.
