I had an opportunity to stay at Hotel Rio during the standard chartered Marathon 2023. For the price I was offered, I must say this was a very comfortable stay and that there was value for money. The staff are very friendly and willing to go an extra mile to see the staff happy. I particulary enjoyed service from Josephine, Rebecca and Consent - Very friendly people. The espouse the acronym of the hotel name; Reliability, Integrity and Ownership (RIO) I also enjoyed the all the meals at the hotel. The breakfast was super heavy and worth it. While lunch and supper were also well prepared and not overpriced I also loved the flexibility of the restaurant staff when I was not able to take my meals at the time the hotel had scheduled. The rooms were confortable for me and my room, particularly had a good view of the city. I loved the in room team and the comfortable beddings. The room was surely cozy and I would love visiting them again. I would recommend anyone looking for budget accomodation in Nairobi to consider staying at Hotel RIO. I will surely be staying with them again the next time I am in Nairobi

Hotel is very nice and clean and the included breakfast is excellent. Hotel employees are very friendly and pleasant.l will not hesitate to stay here again next time. The hotel rates per night is also reasonable.

Great location away from CBD, the receptionist ( Rhoda) was very friendly and handled me in a professional manner upon check-in. The room she allocated was very clean, stylish and with all amenities including a safe box for my valuables. Food was good, great value for my money and service. ..Peterson ( the Waiter) was very attentive and efficient. Service here is Top notch. I must say I was very happy. I hope to come back for long stay over Christmas.

I got a reasonably good deal through an online booking site, which took the sting out of the tail for me, but if you paid the full price advertised by Hotel Rio, it would not be good value for money. Despite trying hard by putting toiletries in the bathroom, and including niceties like slippers and in-room tea and coffee, they haven't quite nailed it. The rooms are small, the shower only just okay, and the bathroom cleanliness was average. Everything looks a bit tired and worn out. But the worst thing for me was the noise! Hotel Rio is located in a very noisy neighbourhood. The room I was initially given was so bad, I asked to be moved. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere where the street noise, especially bars/nightclubs was so loud! The second room was better, but I could still hear loud music coming from outside, so I had trouble sleeping until it eventually stopped. Despite the noise, the bed was comfortable and the staff were helpful.

I had the best time in the hotel. Sleeping was my best part since the rooms are super cosy. Customer service is great and these guys can overfeed you with their lovely meals. I enjoyed my stay in Rio.

Rooms are spacious and very comfortable bed. The room service people were kind and honest..I asked to be given a mosquito repellent and it was done immediately.. I asked to checkout at noon and it was granted with no cost.
