The Earls Court by Leisure Hotels

Gr8 place Gr8 hospitality Gr8 hotel team.. Awesome food.... enjoyed staying there.. ...Rooms were spacious with all the amenities... Weather adds to the Place... As they provided pickand drop from Mall thats really helps...

Part of the Leisure Group of hotels, Earl's Court lies towards the Mallital end of Nainital, very close to the High Court. The hotel is spread across the hillside, with lovely landscaped lawns, flower beds, tall trees, and great views. We had booked in advance, with a reservation in the Heritage Wing of the hotel. Our room was on the first floor of a large, separate cottage (divided into several rooms), on the first floor. A high wooden ceiling, huge windows looking out onto the mountains, and plenty of mirrors made this large, simple but elegant room look really inviting. From here, a couple of steps led down to a small sitting area, with sofa, desk, and more wide windows (also some very welcome biscuits and namkeens ***** with the tea and coffee fixings!) The room also had a small fridge (nothing inside, just for you to use if needed), a TV, large wardrobe, even pedestal fans for if it got too hot. The bathroom looked mostly clean but had cracks in the porcelain. Earl's Court has a restaurant, Gurney House, where we ate our breakfasts and a couple of other meals when we didn't want to go out. It's adequate, though a little overpriced. Other than this, the hotel offers a small games room (table tennis, carrom, chess, Ludo), a children's outdoor play area (small, but set beside a pretty garden). They can also arrange for various activities, including treks, bird watching, nature walks, and a range of adventure sports. Transport and sightseeing trips can be arranged, plus there is a useful shuttle service operated by the hotel to and from Mall Road. Service was generally adequate. Staff were responsive and efficient about things we needed (extra hangers, extra fan, a chair in our room) as well as helpful with advice about sightseeing. However, there were some hiccups: for instance, we had asked for an extra cot in our room. This had not been provided, but since we could somehow (though uncomfortably) ***age to sleep in the double bed with our child in the middle, we didn't follow it up. We were just getting ready for bed, when 10:45 at night, we got a call wanting to know if they could bring us the extra bed. That's inconveniently late, and definitely not a time the staff should assume guests will be awake. (They put the extra bed in our room the next day, but this was just a mattress and bed linen, not a bed really).

Shashank planned a great day for us and the kids and we throughly enjoyed it. He organized a sunrise trek,paragliding and evening camping setup which made our Nainital trip memorable. He took care of the smallest of details and made sure that our kids were comfortable. He encouraged the kids on the trek, made sure everyone is safe and enjoying the journey. He organized a beauriful camping site for us. He set up a bonfire, got marshmallows for the kids to roast and made our evening memorable. He was very well organized and had a good team to support him. Very professional and trustworthy. Thank you Shashank for making our stay at Nainital memorable. I would highly recommend Shaskank to all !

We had the most remarkable trek with Mr Shashank who ensured that we had the best and most secure trek. His knowledge about the surroundings and the various animals and plants was outstanding. He guided us at every step and helped us when required and at the same time motivated us to reach the top of the trek to see the beautiful sunrise as soon as possible.

This is a boutique place, meant for ones who want a lazy, relaxed vacation. It has a relaxed feel to it, away from hustle bustle of Mall road craziness and has a great view of Naini peak. Great service, great food (and chai). It is not a large property but still has enough areas (garden, games room) to keep one occupied. The thoughtfulness of organising simple things like live music at breakfast n dinner (old songs at dinner make a mesmerising mood n feel) leave a pleasant note. Go for it!

Rooms are spacious. But the service was pretty average for a 4 star property. The jet in the washroom continued to leak all the time which was annoying. They charge for everything including milk for minor children and the prices are very exorbitant. Also there was no liquid hand wash in the washroom just old school soap, which is unhygienic. Not worth the money spent. Not recommended.

Very good,quite spacious Heritage rooms ,wooden ceiling,giving a good old charm with a mountain view..enjoyed our 1 night stay there..peaceful place away from hustle bustle of Nanital Mall road but still quite accessible to even walk around
