So, this is definitely not a four-star hotel. Our room was a superior room with a balcony. The view from the balcony was lovely and the room was very large, but it is old and tired! There were many things that could have easily been fixed without costing very much money but were not. It made me feel unimportant as a guest. For example, on the nightstands were glass covers and underneath the glass was paper placemats that were dirty and torn. They could have easily just removed those. The chair in the room had trimming that was frayed and falling off. A pretty easy fix, again not done. The bathroom had mold and mildew and the furnishings were very worn and did not coordinate with the room. The ceiling was constructed with beautiful wood beams, however spackling was used to cover up the nail holes that did not match the wood and looked very sloppy and no attempt seem to have been made to correct it. The mini fridge sat on the open floor next to the cabinet where it should have been. All of the furnishings were worn. The bed was hard but we managed to sleep. The licensing documents and disclaimers that appear on the back of the door were very old. It appears it had not been inspected for quite some time. as mentioned in most reviews the people were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was good and adequate. But the rooms made you feel like an unwelcome guest, not the Greek hospitality I am used to.
