리버 오크스 바이 팔메토 베이케이션스(River Oaks by Palmetto Vacations)

We were disappointed by our 2nd stay at River Oaks. The unit we stayed in was not up to the normal housekeeping and maintenance standards they once had. First off if you're a side sleeper back a sleeping bag because the sleigh style bed in the master suite is like a sheet of plywood with a thin blanket on top of it. Me and sofa became close friends. The dishes in the dishwasher were not clean so a trip to the store was needed. No hand soap or toilet paper in the bathroom either. We could tell no one had used the unit in a while because of the spider web at the entry door. There were other issues but I'm not going to detail each of them. Oh and we couldn't even enjoy relaxing on the enclosed balcony with out being stifled by the smell of the Mary Jane being burnt down. So....steer clear if you can.

Disgustingly dirty, ripped and broken furniture, toilet plugs constantly, gross rusted refrigerator, broken toaster, no pots and pans, sliding door is extremely hard to open and it only opens part way. Torn wallpaper. There were 4 of us (in our 60’s) sharing this 2 bedroom condo on a golf trip. We had to take turns sitting on the dining table bench. The two dining chairs were wobbly and we doubted they would support any weight. The leather … scratch that….. the best way to put it…. The unit looks like it was furnished using items collected from the curb or a dump. Disgusting. The one out of 5 rating is a mistake….it should be a zero. Stay away.

We booked a weekend vacation through Groupon for a 2 night stay at River Oaks Resort in Myrtle Beach. After a long 6 hour drive there we were told at check-in that they had no reservation under our name or confirmation number and we need to call Groupon about the issue. When we asked the clerk working check-in for a number to call Groupon, she said that they don’t have a phone number for Groupon and even if she did their resort was completely booked for the weekend. We had no choice but to pay more money to reserve a room at another resort for the weekend. This was the absolute worst customer service and professionalism from both River Oaks and Groupon. It’s currently been about 3 weeks since this horrible experience and we still haven’t received a refund back from Groupon our any type of apology from River Oaks. We will never do business with River Oaks or Groupon again.

The office is only open from 9-5 Mon -Fri. There is no one to speak to about any issues. Dishwasher and oven did not work. The condo was not clean.
