더 스트랜드 - 어 부티크 리조트(The Strand - A Boutique Resort)

Great ocean view. We had a great time and The Strand was excellent in every way possible. We will definitely be back and would recommend The Strand very highly.

Great view of the ocean. They surpassed our expectations in every way. We were very impressed. Can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Strand. Parked our car and everything we needed was within a short walking distance. 👍

Room was a little cramped and the shower was a nightmare to operate. Great nightly rate with a passable breakfast. I would imagine that the more expensive suites would be reviewed favorably.

We booked a room with Kitchenette, microwave and fridge. However, when we checked in, they assigned us a room with none of this. I asked about that and denied that we had this kind of booking. I asked if we can pay extra and get a room with these amenities and they denied us. We asked if there is a fridge where we can store some perishable food we had and they denied that request too.

Check in was efficient. Property was in overall decent condition. The property will benefit from a refresh in the near future just to keep it nice.

This is an apartment hotel which means people live here long term. They also have units “for sale”. I don’t know if it’s because of that or just a lack of good housekeeping but this place was very dirty upon checkin - it had clearly not been cleaned! There was hair all over the floor, and what looked like maybe drywall bits and pieces all over the carpet and sink area…maybe they were doing repairs? They hadn’t restocked Kleenex and the fridge was dirty and gross. Anyway I was disgusted at the lack of cleanliness and decided to leave and stay somewhere else after checking in and seeing the state of the room. Disappointing and inconvenient!

We checked in Wednesday before Thanksgiving .Wednesday and Thursday nights was absolutely horrible with the neighbor that we had next to us. We kept having to call down at the front desk to have security come up and take care of the guy next to us. We ended up checking out a day earlier than planned due to the obnoxious neighbor. I had requested another room to get away from him and because he was Thanksgiving weekend they were booked and had no other rooms available. I have requested a refund for the one day stay to be compensated for our troubles with the hotel. Overall the room in the hotel were very nice The Continental breakfast each morning was delicious actually! The maintenance of the room itself could have been a little bit better just small things that could have been taken care of that weren't. We had a great view of the ocean on the 7th floor!! All in all it could have been better. However it could have been a lot worse. Kind Regards Adrienne V.

It being oceanfront..the room layout..checking in and out process was quick and easy

Our stay at the Strand was wonderful. Pleasant room and great view of the beach and ocean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If we came back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely stay here again.
