링호텔 골드너 크노프(Hotel Goldener Knopf)

Very nice hotel that has a gorgeous view of the wooden covered bridge. Location in downtown with many restaurants and shopping possibilities. Only negative critique would be the bed pillows. They gladly gave additional pillows, but these could definitely be improved to a more modern standard. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay.

If you are unlucky you get the room close to the elevator like me. It is noisy and in the morning the cleaning personnel prepares all their material next to your room door. The bed in my room was really soft so not really confortable.

Was there for 2 nights for the first time. A calm quiet town just at the Swiss borders with a beautiful path along the river. if you are in the area, this is a recommended place. staff at the lobby bar was very nice and welcoming. (2.20)

Nice hotel rooms in a unique property. Stay for one night only. Reaching hotel, while using GPS was a challenge, since it it located in a pedestrian area.

A gem of a hotel which we think is completely underrated! Situated smack next to the town central square with the beautiful baroque church of St. Fridolin and nice little restaurants with terraces on one side and the river on the other side. From the hotel restaurant terrace, you have a view over the old wooden bridge to Switzerland, which is illuminated beautifully in the evening. The room we had (top floor, riverside) was big and modern, with a beautiful bathroom. The shower… perfection. Only thing is that the beds are very VERY hard. I needed two toppers to be able to sleep. The mini bar is well stocked with reasonable prices. The cashews laced with Schwarzwalder Schinken taste are addictive. The hotel has a sun deck for the people who have rooms that don’t have a balcony. Perfectly situated in a wind free corner at the back of the hotel. WiFi was obviously fixed, because we had good reception throughout the entire hotel. The staff is great! Very friendly, flawless timing between food courses, perfect balance between a little friendly chat and respectful distance. The food is very good! Very fresh and good ingredients used, and all flavor stands out very well between the modest but well-balanced seasoning, topped off with good to delicious deserts! Good knowledge and advice of the wine and digestives by the serving staff. Breakfast has plenty to choose from and is well made. Es muy bonito el hotel y la vista hacia el río con el puente viejo de madera es impresionante

Wir waren bei herrlich warmem Wetter im Garten des Restaurants zum Mittagessen. Die umfangreiche Speisekarte bietet für Fleisch- und Fisch-Liebhaber sehr leckere Gerichte. Auch für Vegetarier ist etwas dabei. Wir entschieden uns für ein Spargelgericht und für Kalbsgeschnetzeltes. Beides schmeckte hervorragend. Die Bedienung war extrem freundlich. Die Preise liegen im oberen Drittel. Einziger Minuspunkt: Eine Flasche Mineralwasser kostete 5,50 €, was wir als sehr teuer empfanden.
