Greetings on our arrival were very good, the owner thankfully speaks excellent English. She was also very clear on instructions for us to find our way around a strange city, and her tip about using the "Funikular" to access Bilbao and the Guggenheim was spot on! Free parking, and casual walking to the city centre. Breakfast was very good, and I got the scrambled eggs that I wanted (perfectly cooked). The only downside was no facilities for making hot drinks (tea/coffee/chocolate) in the room. The interior finish of the Casa Rural Errota Barri is to a very high standard.

Great innkeeper and breakfast. Extremely tastefully decorated rooms and common areas and not to far from action in Bilbao. Only caution is the rooms don’t have air conditioning and there were no screens to keep out bugs at night and we experienced a heat wave in early October - a portable fan made sleeping bearable but certainly not ideal for Americans who are used to cool air conditioning at night.

Unquestionably a 10! Everything was perfect. The stylish and spacious room, the comfortable bed, the beautiful surrounding scenery, the host’s warm and home-made bread and breakfast… Hugs & kisses from Portugal, dear Lourdes!

Amazing retreat in a quiet and secluded location, and yet close to Bilbao and coastal towns. High quality finish to the property, an excellent owner, and highly recommended

We stayed at this beautiful Casa Rural for four nights, a family of five adults in three separate rooms. Everything about our stay was wonderful - the house is gorgeous, well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and the rooms well-equipped with comfortable beds, fresh linens and large bathrooms. Lourdes could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Her breakfasts were abundant and delicious. The house is located in a quaint setting, long-haired sheep in the adjacent meadow, a good restaurant within walking distance, and not far from other attractions in the Basque area. We did day trips using Casa Errota-Barri as our home base - and we felt right at home. We will be back!

Great stay! Very friendly and accommodating host, and a great room. Comfy bed, nice balcony, and beautiful surroundings. And reasonably priced, too! Will come back next time I'm in Basque Country for sure!

A beautiful property in a quiet but central location, within 20/25 minutes of Central Bilbao, the Guggenheim Museum and the Coast. The room was superb with a Balcony and views to the Mountains. The breakfast was very good with freshly prepared bread, pastries and freshly sqeezed orange juice. Lourdes the host was so lovely and couldn't do enough to make our stay so wonderful. Highly Recommended for a relaxing stay in the region.
