버크 & 윌스 모터 인(Burke and Wills Motor Inn)

It was a rather disheartening experience to say the least. This Motel was once the cream of Moree, sadly and due to an obvious lack of maintenance, the outward appearances, defy the reality. We stayed over four nights and found the room to be clean, but barely "three star" level and most certainly NOT four!(see photos). A tiled Ridge in the middle of the floor was a very real trip hazzard, the benches were falling apart, the ensemble double bed was very uncomfortable and really should have been replaced 20 years ago! Over four days, housekeeping was only available ONCE! We even had to ask for fresh towels and toilet rolls... The only redeeming aspects of this outdated and very average accommodation, is a great hot shower and the "five star" "Explorers Restaurant". The food and atmosphere is classy and the food outstanding! Do yourself a favour, until the Motel is refurbished, stay elsewhere, but definitely have dinner at Explorers Restaurant...

Whilst accepting that this is an old property and used mainly by truckers and tradies, the presentation of the room was mediocre, not fresh and clean looking and limited in facilities. Bathroom very basic and towels old and worn. Nice location but needing a lot of tlc.

Looks are deceiving. From outside looks ok. The room was not clean, carpet was disgusting A tiled area on a different level is a trip hazard. A number of missing tiles too Doors and cupboards literally look like they falling apart with the plywood lifting Water pressure in the shower is very poor The double bed mattress should have been replaced about 20 years ago We arrived mid-afternoon on a day that was 42 degrees, & air conditioning hadn’t been turned on :( We stayed 2 nights & no sign of housekeeping, no tidy up, no towels.

This was a good place for one night, although it looked like it could do with a bit of a clean up. We had a swim in the pool, which was a great temperature on a hot day, but the pool was a bit dirty (lots of sticks and leaves, broken chairs), and needed some repairs. We tried to find out about the breakfast, but the woman on reception was a bit vague about how it worked, and actually recommended we go elsewhere. She said there was a takeaway shop nearby that would do hot food. Overall, it was fine - clean rooms, quick check-in. Probably a nice restaurant, too; it seemed very popular.

Just needs a bit of a tidy up outside. Receptionist didn’t know where to get cheapest petrol…a must in the current climate! Room was spacious, lots of hot water

Staff were really friendly. Room affordable. Restaurant very tastey.

Room was not very clean. There was a party outside my room until late at night. m Staff were not sympathetic to my complaints the next day

The air conditioning is old and when required cooling is heating etc. very uncomfortable. Motel did not fix it.

The restaurant meal was perfect however the motel room left a lot to be desired. Bed needs replacing sunk in the middle. Lotions in bathroom not refilled. Towel rail not supported Stayed in a lot better
