Our host, Francois and team were so amazing and accommodating. The meals were fabulous (we felt so spoiled) and we really enjoyed the outdoor pool during the hot temperatures. Laundry services are available upon request. Be aware that there isn't any AC during hot months but fans are provided.

Francois was amazing and took personal care to see that we enjoyed our stay.

After an overnight flight to Bordeaux, we did not want to drive on to our destination several hours away and decided to stay overnight at a hotel not too far from the airport, and on the way to our destination in the Dordogne. Chateau La Moune was a brilliant find, located just across the Pont Aquitaine, and close to the A 89. François, the manager, was so very accommodating and friendly. He even drove these two tired travelers to a nearby restaurant and returned to pick us up. He went out of his way to make our brief visit memorable. We had the chambre Nuptiale – a large, beautifully furnished room on the ground floor – the king-sized bed was a dream. His breakfast was wonderful. We could have had anything we wanted, but we chose to have tea and croissants – served with lovely jams, sweet local strawberries and other fruits. AND a piece of his over-the-top delicious orange cake – for which he offered the recipe – an offer that was gratefully accepted. Chateau La Moune has become our go-to overnight stop when we land at Bordeaux Airport.

Very nice place, nice people,very close to the road but silence and you have niceparking and your pet is very welcome

It was a very nice stay in a lovely chateau! The person who welcomes you is absolutely adorable and his cookingskills are magnificent! We had breakfast every morning (18 euro) but it was totally worth it as all the ingredients were fresh. The rooms were big, you had a jacuzzi ( 25 euro/50min) and it made me totally zen. Must go!

A gorgeous property. Lovely food and welcome. Beautiful grounds. We came for a wedding & had very creased clothes. They kindly ironed out outfits for us. Very grateful! Only thing for improvement is to clean the pool/ automatic pool cleaner. Otherwise perfect! Highly recommend.

Francois was a remarkable host and the food he prepared for us was the best we had throughout our entire two week trip. Breakfast every morning was completely from scratch, the cake, pastries, bread, even homemade jams, and superb omelettes cooked to order. After tasting the delicious breakfast, we had to try the dinner menu and are so glad we did! Everything excellent. Highly recommended.

If you'd like to experience the old-time charm of french chateau living, this is the place. It is not a wine-producing chateau, it is a real home of the well-off family converted to Airbnb. It has all modern conveniences like plumbing and the internet, but its ambience is not a usual hotel greatly enhanced by its wonderful host and chef, Francois! We felt like friends or close relatives, really. Thank you Francois for personalized breakfasts and excellent referrals! We wish we could stay forever!

This is like staying at the home of an acquaintance who happens to live in a chateau. It has none of the feel of a regular hotel. Francois is the host and cook both of which he does admirably. We had a delicious dinner the night we arrived and breakfast was also excellent with many local and home made goodies. The room was very large and was true shabby chic, it had an eclectic mix of old French furniture and teddy bears The swimming pool was nice and refreshing after a busy day of being a tourist.

Chateau LaMoune = Serene/Private/Comfortable Let me begin by saying we could not have been more pleased with the accommodation, location and especially, our most wonderful host François and his team. The chateau is beautiful, charming, inviting and combined with our host makes it irresistible. We couldn’t have been happier with our host François; he went above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived at the gate, he greeted us with the warmest welcome and from that day on, treated us with his famous sumptuous dinners and breakfasts. Merci beaucoup François d'avoir rendu nos vacances des plus mémorables, à bientôt.

Très bon accueil malgré une arrivée tardive. Belle chambre et super petit déjeuner, avec beaucoup de choix et des produits de qualité.

Espaces extérieurs très agréables avec une belle piscine. Chambre beige très agréable et très grande avec balcon vue piscine, literie confortable. Accueil très sympathique et surtout aux petits soins! Nous avons testé l espace jaccuzi très bien et surtout nous avons adoré la prestation massages du spa, merci Chloé! Enfin, nous avons beaucoup apprécié prendre le petit déjeuner face à la piscine. Petit-déjeuner de grande qualité avec fruits frais et gâteaux maison de Mr François, un délice! Bref nous avons passé un excellent week-end prolongé et bien reposant. Remarque : La salle de bain est fonctionnelle mais pourrait être modernisée avec une douche italienne notamment. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

Une halte très bucolique un peu hors du temps qui nous a ressourcée. Nous avons séjourné dans une très belle chambre très propre. Le petit déjeuner est très soigné et délicieux. Un hôte aux petits soins qui nous a donné plein de conseils en matière de dégustations et de bonnes adresses de restaurants.
